The kids really enjoy coming up with silly answers, especially when it comes time to point out my opinion in various situations. Every answer I received on my turn revolved around “Star Trek” in some way…perhaps they are trying to tell me something? We even brought this game out during a family & friend get-together, where most of them are not gamers by any sense of the definition. Rather than score points, we just passed around the trivia deck and answered questions in humorous and inappropriate ways…this was, of course, after we sent the kids upstairs. Pictures were drawn and secrets were revealed, though it was all in good fun.There isn’t that much difference between the two games, in all honesty. The cards in “Say Anything” are a bit more open-ended to where adults can take advantage of “dirty-minded” answers, though playing it with family and keeping things PG is easily doable. Likewise, the cards in “Say Anything Family” are bit more cutesy in nature, but can be used in an adult setting. Both games are flexible that way, which I appreciate. The regular edition is designed to accommodate eight players, making it a tad more appealing than the family edition, which only accommodates six.Is either game right for you? Well, that depends. “Say Anything” and “Say Anything Family” is a very social experience, one that gets better the more people you have playing. If it’s just you and a spouse, it may not be all that rewarding unless imaginary friends are involved somehow (hey, I’m not judging). If you host or attend parties on a regular basis or have regular family game nights that involve more than three people, then either game will fit the bill nicely. It’s a great way for people to learn about each other and well worth the investment.

I loved everything about the game, except that it was missing one of the player tokens. We just used a nickel as a substitute--no worries! It was for the first immediate family gathering we have had in 10 years. My four children each have two kids and live in 4 different states, all the way from Texas and Colorado to New York. We had all 4 of our children, 6 of the grandchildren and two of our sons-in-law, plus two of our grandchildrens' fiances. The game was awesome!

This is a very fun game if you have a group (4-6) people to play with. Everyone takes turns drawing cards. One person draws a card, while the other people write on dry erase boards. The idea is when its your turn to draw a card, you read one of the questions on the card (there's multiple questions to choose from on each card) then everyone else writes their answers to the question on their dry erase boards. The one who drew the card and read the question secretly picks the answer they like best. The remainder of the players vote on which answer they think the the person who read the question will like best. You get points if you guess correctly which one will be the favorite, and you also get a point if your answer was the favorite. Some of the answers that have come up in our house have been hilarious!

We had a lot of laughs playing this game with the family since we've bought it.I have a brother and we're mostly like polar opposites with the way we think, do things, and the things we like. Yet, somehow when playing this game, we can come to think similarly. We get a question, and it's something like, "What's the most complicated thing in the world?" And he and I both wrote very quickly and put down the same answer. It was hilarious.The only reasons why I don't totally love this game is because:1) You're limited to 6 people unless you add external components to allow more players (extra pencils, paper, etc.)2) Questions are sometimes difficult to select from because although you would be interested to see what others would write, if they all don't really know you and maybe one person knows you, then you'll either get 1 good answer and the rest will be bad, or they'll all be bad. Then it gets uninteresting. It's fun when everyone can answer the question at a competitive level though - but finding a question for this is hard.3) This ties in to #2 - although I don't really care since I only play with family anyway, I think it will be difficult for people to ask these questions with strangers or friends of friends. The less you know about the person asking, you're less likely to write a good answer unless you get a silly question and can write a silly/clever answer. Yes, this game is titled "Say Anything - Family Edition", but I am inclined to take this game as a party game with family-safe questions, rather than a game you're pretty much only playing with family and no one else.4) The equipment supplied is on the cheap side. The markers dried out quickly and there weren't felt cloths to wipe the boards so we often had to remember to find paper towel to share.Of course, with all that said, we still had a lot of fun with this game. I bought/played this after we've had Telestrations, and I think with Telestrations beating this on all points stated above, Telestrations is an overall better game - but you'll still have fun playing this. If you play this game with the "scoring/winning conditions" as Telestrations though (that is, not caring too much about the final points but about the laughs along the way) then you'll probably enjoy it as much as Telestrations. This game has an advantage over Telestrations that it doesn't require the players to be artistically inclined in order to have an advantage at playing though - so if your group would prefer not to draw, then this is a great substitute.

Very happy with this seller. The order arrived earlier than expected, even though it was a very busy time of year and it is a super fun game! It has been a long time since we've come across a new 'party' game that will keep us all laughing, regardless of age, for hours. We didn't want to stop playing!
