WARN92090 Epic 3/8" Steel Winch Hook: 6 Ton (12,000 lb) Capacity , Black

Heavy duty. Futuristic design look. Brass pulley wheel for no sparks. Works great. Just make sure you use the right size rope/wire. Regular winch rope size works great. I tried putting some utility rope (3/8”) through and it got stuck in between the pulley and one side of the shackle. But it’s for (truck) winch rope…so, that’s expected, I guess.Anyway, it’s a bit pricey compared to “not Warn” brand. But it’s the one everyone wants. I’m never sorry I got it. Just a little nervous it will “walk away” or “get misplaced” on the trails.

Haven’t used it yet.But it seems perfect.Smooth enough to use it with a soft shackle.I feel this Snatch Block is a must even if you have the slip donuts.Not too heavy. Nice size.

Fits perfect on our 2024 Polaris Wolverine 4 seater

A quality wire rope pulley built heavy duty, complete with grease fitting. Bought 2 each and the first use was to pull a 12000 lb tractor, axle deep in mud, back onto solid ground. Using the two pulleys was able to crest a multi-part line to increase the pulling power of the 16500 lb rated electric winch. Had to chain the back of the winch vehicle to a substantial, 20 inch tree. With the winch vehicle secured the winch with the heavy duty pulleys were able to pull the tractor out. A tough, dependable, stout product.

My Ram Power Wagon is a recovery beast that comes from the factory with a Warn winch behind the bumper. I didn’t like the Warn epic winch hook that the system came with because the stowing hook placed the winch hook too near a parking sensor resulting in false alarms and errors. The Power Wagon also doesn’t come with any rear recovery points. I solved both problems by purchasing a pair of Warn Epic shackles and some Factor 55 bits. The front is much cleaner and I’ve had no more false alarms and errors since the change. The rear Factor 55 shackle mount fits the 2-1/2” receiver perfectly and the color is almost a perfect match with the Warn epic shackle.

30 years ago when I started wheeling, we didn't have all the different options that we have today. Now, there's all sorts of different things you can attach to the end of your winch line, but to me, they just seem like the answer to a question nobody asked.When I get stuck, I don't want to have to get out an extra shackle or other technical items in order to make a "correct" and "properly engineered" connection. I don't want to have to take off my gloves or risk dropping shackle pins in the mud and losing them. All I want to do is hook up quickly, simply, and safely so I can start my pull. What I need is a big fat sturdy hook with a wide opening on the end of my winch line and that's what this is.I'm not bashing the other stuff. I'm sure it's good and strong and I can certainly appreciate the engineering that went into it. But for me, quick and simple just makes more sense. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Appears to be pretty rugged. Standard great Warn quality

Love the hook but it isn't Black as advertised. It is Iron Gray.
