Needs better quality control
The tool is square and the holes are accurate. HOWEVER, the marks on the ruler are NOT accurate. If you look closely at the picture, you'll see that the marks before and after the '4' are slanted towards the 4" line. Same with the 1" and 8" lines. This is marketed as a precision marking tool. I measured this with two Incra rulers and sure enough, the measurements on this tool are off by 1/32" at the 8" mark.I returned the original one and received a replacement. The defect is the same with the replacement. If you've purchased this, look at your ruler markings near the 1", 4" and 8" increments. I imagine you will find the same problem.

Love it
I was really skeptical, because this is an obvious knock off of Woodpeckers. I was tempted to buy the Incra version, because so many Youtube woodworkers recommend it, but it got bad reviews because it is flimsy. This is easily becoming one of my favorite shop tools. I wish they had a larger size, but 8 inches is pretty good for most scenarios. This may not be as amazing as Woodpeckers, but I'm also not building $2,000+ furniture. At a fraction of the cost, it is well worth it!

Yes the lead fits in the holes
I don't know what kind of pencil the people who complained about the holes being to small to fit in the lead are using. If you are marking to the 1/32 surely you are not trying to do it with a carpenter pencil meant for framing. Any finish carpenter knows that the sharper the line the more accurate you can cut. My square arrived true to square according to every square I checked it with. My only complaint is the holes could be marked a lot more clearly. It took me a minute to figure out what row is what. In my opinion I would like the bole to angle the opposite direction. I feel like I'm working backwards. Other then that I'm happy and would recommend it to anyone who cant afford the other red tools I can only dream about

Check it before you start!
Mine arrived out of square! Not to hard to true it up but still annoying! 1 small surface blemish but easy to over look. I would be sure and check it on a regular bases to make sure it stays square. Also some people complained holes were too small. I use a Paper Mate Sharpwriters and have no problem.

Not really as useful
The holes are too small, canβt stick lead thru hole without breaking lead.
