Hermitshell Hard EVA Protective Travel Case Fits Pro For Sho 34dB Shooting Ear Protection

This is the usual Hermitshell case, with the usual Hermitshell quality and the usual Hermitshell smell.This is listed by Amazon as roughly 5.8x5.4x2. In reality is it more like 5.5x5x3.5, which is fairly close, but not quite the same. Unfortunately, the case is too small for my application.The biggest shortcoming with these Hermitshell cases, when you are using them for something other than what they are specifically made for, is finding the one that is the right size. The minensions listed by Amazon are sometimes complete fantasy.

It works perfectly once I was able to get rid of the awful smell. Almost like the inside of the container from the cargo barge it came here on. A lot of febreze and dryer sheets to no avail. Finally gave up and put it outside on my deck under the overhang. After 3 weeks checked it and was better but the other side still smelled. Flipped over and left for a month. Finally usable but not worth the effort. Buy an alternative.

Right out of the shipping box, this case has such a strong, bizarre, toxic chemical smell that I'm afraid to let my daughter use it for her "no distraction" ear muffs in class. I'm letting them air out for a few days. If the smell doesn't dissipate, I'll be returning them.
