It would probably be fine but I would suggest using the color and developer from Vivitone for best results. It is a really good product line.

If you mean the developer, you can buy it at amazon prime, get the 20 volumes

If you purchased a Vivitone Color in a tube, you also need the activator. No color comes premixed, even color you purchase at the drug store. This is a professional hair color so you need to read the directions carefully. With this brand, I use one part color to two parts activator.

Q: Does vivitone look natural, or obvious that hair was colored? i'm male, might use 9a lt ash blond but don't want it to look like i colored my hair!

Vivitone is an excellent product. I used it for years before deciding to go gray and the color was quite natural looking. I might steer away from "ash" colors as they sometimes appear to be duller than the other shades that do not have "ash" tones.
