With the help of YouTube on how to rewire a trailer, it was easy to install. I did replace the lights as well. Word of advice, make sure you secure a good ground.

The wire gauge was small causing it to break when stripping it back to ground. Still works, but have to use extra caution to strip back.

The product works well. The wires need to be about 3ft longer for me as my 16ft trailer has the wires routed down the left hand side of the trailer and the across as the back for the right tail light. Problem is when you pull enough back through to make all the connections at the back, the front then becomes too short and an extension is needed. But the wires work well, and the product is fine

I replaced the wiring for my trailer in just about an hour. This worked perfect for me. I did have to buy a nylon sleeve to protect the wires from the plug to the trailer, but I got that from an auto parts store. You also need splicers to connect to the lights and 3 sheet metal screws to ground the lights and the hitch plug.

I have a trailer already pre wired but I needed to wire the car side. I figured I could use these wires and strip some tail light wiring and make it work.Turns out, you need ground, left signal, right signal, brake, and running lights. That’s five signals. Four wires. You need a microcontroller that will figure out the inputs and turn it into four outputs.For example, if you step on the brakes, and then have the turn signal on, it needs to turn off the brake light on that side to make the signal … flash.For my 3rd gen 4runner, a Hopkins 43415 is exactly what you need. Literally plug n play. Comes connectorized and has a microcontroller and everything works as it should.Make sure you buy the right thing! This kit is more up your alley if you are building a trailer from scratch.
