How can a simple mouse be so terrible? This is absolute junk.
How can a mouse be so defective? I've used it less then 10 times. I'm trying to use it to type this review... never mind. The right click works about half the time. Sometimes, it clicks 'near' the pointer. Try to click in a facebook message box? It clicked "call". Try to highlight text? It grabbed a few characters and moved them. Isn't mouse technology years old? Please - I beg you - do not try this one out. I'll now go throw it away and order a different brand since the return time has passed.

waste of money... breaks very quicky after light use
Total junk!I had a similar mouse I picked up for $5 that lasted YEARS and literally went around the world and back with me because I travel a lot.The wires on this one started coming loose within days and after trying to be careful in order to extend its life, it still died on me.Sorry but I purposefully invested in Verbatim because it's supposed to be a more reliable brand, but this was just junk designed to break after very little use.Supremely disappointing for the price point and company.

very compact and portable but could be better...
I got this mouse because I wanted to have it in my travel bag permanently in case I forget to pack a mouse because I always need a mouse when I'm using a computer or laptop. It's small enough to fit in any backpack pocket and it's very light, which is perfect for portability point of view but I wish it had a little bit more of weight to it as it's almost a feather weight. In a way, just too light and sensitive as a mouse. Also, the retractable cable was good idea but it's a bit annoying and clunky to use it because it's hard to adjust the length and it doesn't stay where you want it to be.Other than that, I still think this is pretty good portable mouse, especially for its price.4 out of 5 stars. I do recommend this mouse if you need to carry one with you all the time but you've been warned about the weight and the clunky retractable cable issue.Hope this was useful... and if it was, please click on the helpful button below. Thank you!

compact & easy to use
I hate using the touchpad on my laptop. I started using a mini usb mouse a couple of years ago and love them, especially if they have a retractable cable and even more if they come in colors other than black and/or gray. When my last one stopped working, I went to my local place, and they were out. All they had that was close to my budget of "as cheap as possible" was a pink flowery regular sized wireless mouse at $12. I ended up buying that one because I really hate the touchpad more than I hate a regular-sized wireless mouse. After two days of using it, I gave up and went on Amazon. There were other minis that cost about the same as this one, but this one had the retractable cable and a cute color (pink). I have not been careful with this mouse. I've dropped it a few times onto a hard floor, and I've left it dangling on the side of the table more than a few times when not in use. I've also been known to carry the laptop around with the mouse dangling. Just a side note, I don't take the laptop & mouse out of the house, but it is used daily, mostly by me and my husband and occasionally the teenager. I'm sure they're not careful with the mouse since it doesn't belong to them. Even so, it still works GREAT. When I first got it, I plugged it in and within seconds it was ready to go. I love it because it's compact but still easy to use; retracts so that there are no cables dangling all over the place when not in use and I don't lose it like I lose wireless ones; and because it's pink (same color as in the picture). It also didn't hurt that it was $6.68 and had Prime. I have regular-sized girl hands and fingers and the mouse is comfortable for me to use. These wired minis usually last me several months, not quite a year. I will update when it stops working.

Favorite mouse, but switches are less durable than average.
Have had 5 of these. I am on the computer almost as long as I can stay awake, so...you might feel calling the switches "less durable than average" is not fair. However, I have never worn out a mouse before. These wear out in about 4 months - so maybe an average user will get a few years. It is clearly the switches, as I have taken one apart and swapped the right and left switches and the left was then fine (it is always the left that begins to not respond properly). Probably the best travel mouse, and I miss the small size when I use a bigger mouse - great for a user who uses mostly his fingertips to control the mouse. Anyway...not trying to talk you out of buying it. This seems to be the smallest mouse on the market, and the retractable, very lightweight cord is another plus.

Cute Little Mouse
These are cute little mice that are great for those of us with carpal tunnel syndrome or who hate using the pad on a laptop and want something small to stick in a pocket to use with the laptop. I would think these would also be small enough for little hands to use, as well. My only complaint is that they don't retract as smoothly and easily as they should. I was hoping they'd be like the retractable tape measure that you could push a button, and the cable would retract. You have to nurse this one along (not as bad as some of the no name brands that just end up with a jumble of cable on either end of the rewind device, but not great, either). What's the point of having the retractable cable, if it doesn't retract?!? That's why it's gotten a 4* review and not a 5*. If it doesn't last long, oh well. When it cost less than $5, how can you go wrong?!?

Great for Small Hands
I got this to replace a different small mouse that my preschooler uses for his online class.PROS:• It works great with his small hands. It's even easy for me to use.• The retractable cord makes it nice and portable.• It functions as it should.• Great price at less than $5!(As far as gaming goes, my son's classes are play-based learning, and this mouse works well with multiple, rapid clicks. We haven't tested it beyond that.)CONS:• The small size might not be comfortable for those with bigger hands.• The retractable cord might not last too long if kids play roughly with it.Overall: I recommend this mouse, because it is inexpensive, portable, and functional.

Don't bother
Initially worked ok, but within a few weeks the left button was randomly functioning either intermittently or double-clicking, suggesting a faulty internal contact issue. For the cost of a tenner it wasn't worth attempting to return/replace (especially as apparently this was shipped from the States). It's possible the issue could have been caused by poor handling in transit/delivery to me, but if other reviews sugges similar experiences then look elsewhere.

It's small indeed
Sometimes you just need a very very small mouse. I walk around with a laptop and needed a small one that I can pocket when I'm walking. So small was the main requirement. Well this one is very small, and works as well as any mouse. The main issue that you need to know is that prolonged use will give you hand cramps owing to the closed claw-like position you have to bend your hand to use it. So while I would never write an essay with such a mouse (nor do any sort of gaming), it's ok for me. I debated getting a wireless but it doesn't seem that it comes this small.

They Should Rename This Mouse “Job Killer“
DO NOT BUY! Might have actually gotten me fired from a job! This mouse is so cheaply made that the button sticks and when I dragged the mouse to minimize the screen, I hung up on my manager in the middle of a very serious Zoom discussion.Very jittery and buggy. Using it as a table weight now since I know I have no shot in H*l# of a refund.Save your $ and look elsewhere.

Not great performance.
Unfortunately, the left button is slow to respond making using this mouse frustrating to use at times. I'm not sure whether it is bad manufacture or it sustained damage in transit (the package arrived dented), but it is not working properly. Which is a shame, because another model I previously purchased was a solid product.
