This is okay but nowhere near as good as "The Great Tantra of Vajrasattva: Equal to the End of the Sky" or "The Tantra of Great Bliss." Of course, readers look for/distil different things/amounts from a book. Like his other books, it also includes Tibetan language. My approach is analytical, considering Measurement Theory & statistics--I'm now reading my 37th Wilkinson book. For me, this translation is a book every sincere practitioner of Vajrayana Tibetan Buddhism should own and study. It has become one of my favorites and is in my hands as I make this note. See the actual pictures I added. I read 1-3 pages each day as I prepare for meditation. It is beautifully translated from my perspective and offers a gentle and comprehensive overview of the material. Because I enjoy Lama Christopher Wilkinson’s work and have many of his translations they are true jewels in a Garland that now has 38 volumes. He is working on volume 39 now. It is his life work of 40-50 years.In another review I will provide a list of his full work. One think I like is that each text also includes an image of the original Tibetan material. I do not read or know Tibetan but the times I have ad a question about a particular word or sentence, he kindly responds to my question and helps me understand the meaning. He usually has one post on Facebook featuring a key page or paragraph from the book. I follow him as a favorite and see his post first think each morning when I open my phone.I have recently learned he will join Lama Michael Gregory for a two year series on lectures and practice sessions. He also works closely with the Lama Michael and the QuietMindRetreat.com/meditation-retreats center near San Diego, CA.If money was no object, I would own all his translations and sponsor his future work.
