While not a heavy duty canvas, ours has lasted since March outside tied down to the top of a pet pen. The only tears sustained have been from tree branches falling through in heavy winds. It should fare ok in winds - just not forever.

Nope. They melt very very easy. Bbq was drippong hot grease and mealted a big hole. We had tarp stretched out to cover the ground
