The one before that is still in service as my sprinkler system line blow-out compressor so only gets used once a year. I've had that one for nearly 20 years. I can move it anywhere I want with no difficulty - including lifting it into my wheelbarow if I need to take it somewhere else at a distance. The packaging was very substantial and it would easily survive rough handling by the "Samsonite Gorilla" (for those of you old enough to remember him!!) I have several Porter Cable air driven hand tools (nailers and otherwise) and I have never experienced problems with any of them. My guess it that this compressor will peform equally well. I have a nail gun and I can shoot 16 penny nails with it hooked to the compressor. I actually have a larger tank that mine is hooked to that was part of a much larger compressor. I have a hose running from the large tank and use it for nailing, for blow cleaning chain saws, etc and for airing tires as well as for my impact wrench. **Q: Can you set the regulator pressure so you dont over inflate, or see the pressure in the tire via the gauge?** A: It doesn't tell you the pressure on your tire. You can set the maximum pressure to inflate your tire to via the knob that is connected to a gauge with a needle, but is loosely accurate in my opinion. I'd use a tire gauge to check your tire once it's inflated. **Q: Is this compressor work well with pneumatic tools?** A: Short answer is yes. I have used it with framing and finish nailers, pneumatic impact wrenches, air guns, and other tools. It occasionally needs a short break to catch up if you use too much air, but that's only occasionally a problem. My 60 Amp plasma cutter can exceed the compressor capacity, but it gives about a 50% duty cycle even with that big tool. This size compressor is commonly used with framing nailers in home construction projects. It has the oomph to fill up fast, & holds the pressure so that I can air up two vehicles’ tires without the compressor motor kicking back on. I can unplug it & carry it around to each tire, & finish a lot quicker than with my old one.
