I was disappointed in this owl pellet kit. It did not include gloves, a plastic tweezer or decent visual aids for identifying the bones to be found in the pellet. I had to go on the internet to print some materials to make it a more complete gift. I also added some gloves. Considering that pellets are found on the ground, making them free, more attention was given to creating a fancy box than to creating a complete kit. It was expensive for what you got, but I needed it by Christmas, and they were the only ones who promised that.

My niece’s favorite present. We spent a good hour (after a brief sniff test; odorless as a book) taking apart just one of the pellets and identifying parts. Great for the scientifically curious person with a bit of the macabre.

Nice packaging (see photo), but way overpriced for only 2 pellets, 2 tiny wooden probes, and an instruction sheet. Returning for these reasons.

These are much smaller than any owl pellets I’ve ever seen, and I’d definitely not call these ‘large’
