550 paracord survival bracelet stainless steel bow shackle - Olive Drab Green

Overall im dissappointed
As a survival tool, i suppose its only slightly below average. The shackle is flimsy and difficult to use. Someone commented that it was rated for 500lbs, its not marked with any rating though and i definitely wouldn't trust it. As a bracelet its useless. Almost impossible to put on by yourself. The design with the shackle makes it awkward and its far to large for the average male wrist. Also it looks black in the picture which i thought would be cool. Black goes with everything, and could easily be worn in all situations, not just survival. But its a standard military green color. I emailed them and requested a black one, noting that the one pictured is black and not green. But they refused to send a black one, or change the picture. Overall im dissappointed. Glad it didnt cost me too much. I would suggest trying another vendor. I've found pretty cool ones in the 4 to 8 dollar range that are far superior.

You can love it, with assistance.
Love it. Looks great. Sturdy. Wide and flat, unlike the other paracords that are tied a different way (which end up being a little bulky). It's pretty big though. The only reason it is lacking 2 stars it is nearly impossible to get on without assistance. The clasp is plastic or something with a metal coating? So bathing with it is probably not a good idea (hygienically, and the metal parts would probably rust). It takes some sort of insane dexterity to be able to it yourself, thankfully I can help the person I bought it for. It is really cool though once it is on.

Okay
Well, it's fine, but I still haven't mastered getting that shackle to connect easily. I spent two years in 'Deck Force' in the Navy, and thought it would be easy to connect -- like in the good ole' days. One Must Practice.

No. Absolutely not.The paracord itself is fine, but the shackle is chrome-plated nonsense. It's metal, yes, but of such visibly questionable quality that I would never trust with my survival. The screw in the shackle, even at its tightest, jiggles as loosely as a peg-leg in a portapotty. Just...no.If you're going to buy a "survival bracelet", spend a little bit more dosh and get something from The Friendly Swede; solid craftsmanship and solid steel.

Terrific shackle-bolt construction
Terrific shackle-bolt construction, solid stainless steel. The paracord (and it is 550 paracord) was not tightly tied off (the reason for -1 star. If I wanted to braid and tie it off myself, I wouldn't have purchased this), but that was easy to take care of. For the price, a great purchase and one I will make again when I need a replacement.

It is very nice abnd looks nice too
It is very nice abnd looks nice too. The silver will soon wear off exposing what looks like a copper or brass metal. Since it is a rustic look, I am ok with the look of wear to the metal.

simple cobra braid with a nice olive drab color 550 paracord and a stainless steel ...
Well built, simple cobra braid with a nice olive drab color 550 paracord and a stainless steel buckle. Awesome survival bracelet and great value. I built several of my own and this is actually more convenient and cheaper to buy.

The best
I compared this Paracord Survival Bracelet with those found in stores and found that not only was it less expensive but the quailty of the cord was much better. I also love the stainless steel coupler. It is much better that the plastic buckle on other bracelets than those that I've bought previously. .

String for Serendipitous Purposes
This was purchased for a young person who was going on a Duke of Edinburgh expedition. It looked good enough to wear and it was permanently attached to the budding explorer. It didn't come back intact. This is because it was well used by being cut up and distributed throughout the group for tying things up and utilised for a multitude of purposes. This paracord wouldn't have even been taken if it hadn't been plaited into a bracelet.I'm definitely getting another!

Buy local instead
Took far too long to deliver but by the packaging it does seem like it's come from China, this I didn't know when ordering, if I'd have known I would have popped to a local shop to buy one it seems a waste. It's ok quality, not stainless steel just a very soft metal that will degrade fast. The actual para cord is ok quality but certainly not the strongest stuff. A long wait for a very average to low quality product.

Too big
Looks fantastic on my wrist but it was too big so I had to undo it, cut and redo it, so it was a hard job and more if is the first time you do it, but looks cool and is perfect and practical in emergencies, like if you want to tie your mother in law or your daughter's boyfriend. Minimalist style and great colour.

I am happy with the item tho
It is never getting unravelled so who knows what lurks within its mysterious entanglement, perhaps a jungle with a hidden temple, or a fantasy land of pirates and goblins. Or maybe just a rope, I shall perhaps never know! I am happy with the item tho, the metal clasp looks sturdy enough although not sure i would trust it with my full weight directly, would work as a tie off tho.

Screw kept coming loose.
Great little accessory that fortunately I never needed to use. The bevel that holds it in place kept working it's way out so occasionally had to refasten it. This ultimately meant me losing it entirely one day when I was out. But at the cost vs it's potential uses worth it. Although i've ordered a different one with buckle fasteners this time around

DON'T BUY THE OLIVE GREEN ONES.
THE SILVERED DOG-CLIPS DO NOT WORK.THE METAL IS TOO SOFT TO WORK AS A SCREW AND THREAD.I GOT THREE - ALL THREE CLIPS ARE DUDS.I HAVE THREE BALLS OF GREEN STRING IN MY KITCHEN CUPBOARD.HOWEVER....BUY BLACK - THE BLACK VERSION IS A BIT MORE EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH EVERY PENNY.IT EVEN DOUBLES AS A FASHION ACCESSORY.

useless, the locking pin dosn't go all the way ...
useless, the locking pin dosn't go all the way in and it falls off so it was tightened with small pliers, this ruined the thread and it is only locked by a little of the thread, its fell off a few times and the Metal turns your wrist green, its not stainless steel! came on time and I would still use the company again as it had a good selection of stock items

Get what you pay for.
Seems OK especially at such a cheap price, I wasn't to keen on it when I received since it was bulkier than I was expecting and a real pain to put on by yourself due to the clasp design, the rope seemed good quality but the bulk and difficulty of it made it wasted on me, the time I need it will be the time I didn't bother with it now!

poor chrome but good value
Brought 3 at the price all arrived on time and look good, used one when bungee broke holding backpack on my bike 8ft long worked a treat. Now the last 2 fixed to my bike just to be on the safe side, not the best chrome but value for money

not very good quality
Was quite a bit too big for my wrist, and there is no way to alter it, even though on the size it should have fit perfectly. Also started to break after 1 day of use.

but it stores nicely and I think I had it on my outside ...
Bought one of these because I knew eventually I'd be somewhere where I needed it. I didn't use it as a bracelet, but it stores nicely and I think I had it on my outside of my bag, regardless. this served it's purpose well and provided me with some strong paracord when I needed it most!

You get what you pay for.
This item really isn't great quality, but for only a £1 delivered I couldn't expect much. My bracelet had unraveled within the 15 minutes I had it and was far too big for a small wrist.

Looks good and useful!
Very happy with this purchase, but the clasp could do with being different. Exceedingly difficult to screw together without three hands, and tight to try to take off. I would leave it on, but stays wet FOR AGES after a soaking. Extremely useful in an emergency though.

good little item
good for price, buckle can be a fiddly little s*** to get on one handed and there are issues as the end cords are just glued down and the glue isnt that good but a dab of hot glue and your away, i have thin girlish wrists so a bit loose for me but thats because im a whiney little s*** and need to exercise more :P
