Perfect
I purchased this packing foam to cushion the bottom of my backpack to avoid damage to my camera and lens that I carry. The backpacks made for carrying cameras are too big and very conspicuous. Since I could not find a nondescript backpack with padding, I decided to make one and this packing foam was ideal. I could cut a piece to fit the backpack bottom using a small saw and it worked perfectly.

Medium firm.
Medium firmness, nice size and lightweight. The only issue is the chemical- like smell. It was very strong when it arrived, but it seems to be subsiding as time goes on.

They Work!
I needed these to cut custom shapes in order to pad and secure a laptop in a box for shipment. They worked PERFECTLY! The right amount of padded protection without sacrficing sturdiness. The laptop made it to it's destination without a hitch.
