Good packaging, instructions, quality product. The rack goes together fairly easily. The most difficult part is marking out the locations in the ceiling - easier if you had 2 people and snap a chalk line. If you are slightly off the design is forgiving enough where it will work anyway.

Ordered this after reading lots of reviews about both this product and its many competitors. What sold me was the added supports in the middle that also increases its maximum rated weight capacity. After getting it and installing it with my wife, I can say it's excellent.

This shelf is heavy and requires a skilled installer to make sure it’s hung correctly, but it’s sturdy and well-made. Perfect for storing items up off the ground and items underneath. I have my bikes and an entire 6’ tall shelf under this unit. Definitely changed my whole garage into a more efficient space!

Rack very easy to assemble and install. Once up it is sturdy and looks great in the garage.

Quite a job to install! I did two 2x8 side by side to create a 2x16’ shelve across the back wall of my garage! Exactly what I was hoping for! Directions were ok! Took two of us a full day to get up! Careful measurement in required or your sheet rock will look like Swiss cheese! You def need a good stud finder! Love the end result! Would recommend

Originally I was looking at fleximounts 4x8 storage rack, however due to space limitations with my garage lights I had to go to a 3x8 which honestly has worked out great.Putting it all together was very simple, took me maybe around 3 hours at a leisurely pace, I would 100% recommend having a second person help you once you are ready to lift the body up onto the arms. The only major hangup I had was one of the arms was a little cockeyed when I originally did all the measurements, I ended up just installing the body to the arms anyway, and then unscrewing one of the brackets and moving them while the rack was up in the air (with nothing being stored of course.) and then moved the brace to where it made the arm more upright.I do wish fleximoutnts made a 3x8 version that didn't have the wire mesh floor and had a plywood bottom instead as I feel it would add a little more to the structure and not allow small bits or leaks to fall but overall I am happy with my purchaseWould recommend to friends & family, 4.5/5

Metal is a little thin but that's expected for the price. Also instructions are poorly written and leave alot to be guessed. Typos in instructions as well. But the end result was exactly what I wanted at a respectable price.

The storage rack is very easy to setup, but probably needs 2 people to install. I’m not a handyman and the longest time was spent finding the studs on the wall.It will help a lot if you have some power tools, my hands & legs were so sore the next day as I don’t have power tools and have to tighten everything manually using the tools they provided.In the beginning during installation, I had to drill some holes to test for studs as my stud finder sometimes gave wrong readings. Once I know the location of the studs, it was easy to install. My wall studs (vertical) are 16 inches apart and there is a horizontal stud on top, while my ceiling studs are 24 inches apart. For the back of the rack, I screwed the ceiling bracket to the top of the wall, parallel to the stud. For the front of the rack, I screwed the ceiling bracket perpendicular to the studs on the ceiling. My son helped me by holding the ladder to make it steady, and lifting the wire grids as they’re heavy.Pros:* Smart design, hard to go wrong during setup & installation. For example, for the vertical brackets, there’s 2 of them, one with square holes and the other with round holes, if you make mistakes, the screw won’t fit in.* Strong, good quality, & durable rack* Hold 600 lbs.* Adjustable height* Comes with tools for installation* Fast delivery. When I ordered the 3x8 rack, delivery time shows 1 week even though I’m a Prime member, probably the item is not as popular as the 4x8 rack, which can be delivered the next day. However I was surprised when Amazon delivered the 3x8 rack in 2 days.Cons:* No extra screws, so don’t lose them* No diagonal support brackets, so it sways a bit horizontally, but I guess once you put some stuffs, it won’t sway anymore as the rack will be heavy.* No hooks included

Rigid and can hold a lot of weight.Sure, it is a time taking process to find studs so plan ahead.It took me a good part of the afternoon to mount it.But finally I'm able to store staff overhead and have more walking space in my car garage.
