The Psilocybin Mushroom Bible: The Definitive Guide to Growing and Using Magic Mushrooms

Psilocybin is being experimented with by the medical community, is legal in different parts of the world, and may start being legalized in the USA. I have an entire library on this subject over the decades. I like the fact that the authors include guidelines and advice for safe usage. I still need to write my own little guide in that regard. I was pretty certain I did not have much to learn and I learned some things and I was surprised that they shared insights that (in my opinion) has been 'insider' secrets. This book is well written with great pictures. Being responsible with such knowledge, and being responsible in life and living is what empowers freedoms. If you are irresponsible with knowledge and experiences that is what leads to fear, laws, and all sorts of icky stuff. Do your research, do things right and from what I have read this book is an invaluable resource for new explorers, new amateur mycologists interested in this topic, as well as experienced people. I was going to write a book like this myself, I'm glad I don't have to, someone else did it and they did an outstanding job!! Be safe out there, knowledge is power, use it wisely ;)

Very informative book whether you're a complete newbie or an experienced cultivator. The pictures are very detailed and informative and make things very easy for beginners such as myself. The instructions are clear and easy to comprehend and it basically walks you through step by step on how to start or perfect your mushroom growing and what methods there are to cultivate. I would highly recommend this book to anyone starting out and even to those who might have done this for years as it can shore up your skills and techniques. Legalize Magic Mushrooms!!!

This is a wonderful book for any mushroom enthusiast! It tells you not to grow all different types of mushrooms. It’s very informative. Unfortunately, my copy got lost in a recent move and I’m going to have to buy another, but it’s at the top of my list! It’s super interesting to read about the different kinds of mushrooms and the components that make each of them thrive. I highly recommend.

I absolutely LOVE this book! It is definitely a "Bible" and is full of information about different teks, equipment needed, and answers to frequently-asked questions. I am a first timer and had no clue where to start. Thanks to this book, I was able to find exactly which items I needed, how to prepare them, how to inoculate, an approximate time-frame of what I should see and when, how to pick, and how to preserve my harvests. I'm currently in the mycelium growing stage and have been very successful so far! If you would like an excellent reference/how-to book for growing mushrooms, you should get this one to add to your collection.

This book is great and has a wealth of knowledge and has been my sole reference for my first grow. Would give it 5 stars if, in addition to all of the info included about every part of the grow cycle, if it included a section that pulled the information together in a simple step by step format

I'm super interested in the way the industry is starting to use as medicinal treatments and the ways they have in altering a person's mind and body. This is a great book filled with A LOT of information anyone writing research papers or just interested in learning about psychoactive medicinal qualities; everything you need! I bought this along with their Marijuana Bible and it's the perfect gift for anyone in the field looking to learn about effects on the human body.

True what some reviewers say, this book doesn't have 100% of all the info you'll ever need.. HOWEVER, when I started my research, I didn't know ANYTHING about growing mushrooms... terminology, abbreviations, everything was new to me. I was trying to use The Shroomery website but couldn't even navigate that because this was still like a foreign language. But after reading the first half of this book, it all made enough sense to me that I was able to get back onto The Shroomery, as well as other sites, and continue researching. Most folks say that this book + The Shroomery are a perfect combo. I agree. There are so many different ways to do this stuff, so I definitely recommend using multiple resources when studying. And considering how few books there are on this subject, I'd say this is one of the better books available. For under $30, it's a great addition to the bookshelf. Can't wait for the new book to launch!

My daughter and I LOVE this book. Everything is laid out step by step with plenty of photos and as a visual person, this is so helpful! It's written in layman's terms and reads as if it was written by a good buddy instead of a PhD. I mean that in a good way! Highly recommend if you are a mushroom newbie like me!

A good book for growing shrooms

Pena para quem nao entende ingles, mas nada que um google tradutor no celular com foto nao resolva com facilidade. Ele scaneia e le tudo traduzindo na hora quando vc tem dificuldade. O livro é realmente uma biblia do cultivo e instruções de cultivo.

🔬 use only. El libro es muy bonito. Muchas fotos por página. La impresión es en papel tipo fotográfico, no papel del común. A mi opinión, papel del cariño$o. El lenguaje es muy claro y objetivo, entendible pa cualquier neófito (yo). Por tanto, lectura fácil. Muchas imágenes cambian tu mente, tus percepciones. Un libro muy alucinante. Si no lo compras, es porque no lo quieres. Ve por él. BILR: book I would like to read 😍

I originally bought "growing gourmet and medicinal mushrooms" by Paul Stamets as my "mushroom bible" for growing normal, (not magic) edible mushrooms but found that it was very dated both in information and writing style and the pictures were all in black and white which was not good for identification. I was recommended this book by the chap who owns the UK based Gourmet Woodland Mushrooms site who apparently isn't shy talking about/advising on his use of magic mushrooms (despite me not wanting to hear it...). He said that this was a great book of reference for all mushrooms because a lot of the information was non-specific to magics and could be applied to the normal, edible mushrooms that I was interested in. I have to say, he was right! It's a great reference book for any mushrooms. It shows things like the life cycles of mycelium and techniques which can be applied in any situation. All the pictures and diagrams are excellent qulity and all in colour. A lot of the information about magic mushrooms will be wasted on me but it's worth it for the non-specific stuff alone that has helped me with ideas about improving my yields on things like lions mane, shitake, hen of the woods etc. Really happy. Only gripe is that it looks like nobody proof read the book - at all :') there's a few spelling and grammar blunders.
