Not a *perfect* match for the FT100, but close enough
My FT-100D's OG mic went belly up recently (not bad after almost 25 years and 4 owners), and I thought I was toast. Takes a very specific unobtanium MH-36BJS that was only for this model. Went through about 3 cheap knockoffs that wouldn't key up without modification, and killed one trying to do so.Came to this product because of the prior reviews that it works perfectly with the FT100. Well, partly, at least for me. Keypad lights up, programmable and DTMF buttons do...seemingly random things, DWN/UP doesn't work...but most importantly, it keys up, VOX functions, and I've gotten relatively decent audio reports. Not too worried about the button issue—I don't use DTMF and could never remember what the program buttons do.Built almost identical to OEM, which is to say not too great, but not too bad. A step up from most of the overseas clones I've seen for other makes.

GLORIOUS!!! Works perfectly!!!
I was concerned about this item possibly not being the right model for my Yaesu FT-100D, but this works perfectly! I like the option to turn on backlit keys, and this feels strong, not cheap at all. I have really abused this, dropped it multiple times, dragged it a bit, and I have yet to chip, crack or break it. I waited a few weeks before reviewing, just to make sure I wasn't being fooled, and I can honestly say that this doesn't disappoint! If it had been provided with the radio, I would have assumed it was OEM, because it is that good!

My connector s broke on my old microphone and I got this one to replace it. It was inexpensive and worked well.
