Presto 06856 16-Inch Ceramic Electric Skillet, Grey

First thing out of the box, I noticed BIG!! Large enough for a big family. I bought this skillet to cook pancakes, and maybe hamburgers. I've found it is so versatile, I use it for a lot of other things as well. In the reviews I read, others complained that it has hot spots, and cycles too often, but the instructions say to heat it enough ahead of time to allow it to cycle 4-5 times to heat up to the right temperature and heat evenly. I do that, and have had no problems with uneven heating. It is made of a relatively thin aluminum alloy, which allows it to heat very quickly, but like I said, it needs a few cycles to evenly heat. One of the best things about this skillet is that its ceramic coating makes it super easy to clean. Many of the reviews I read said that they just wipe it out with a paper towel. I wasn't sure how that would work, and how sanitary it would be, but I tried it and it works very well. As far as being unsanitary, who scrubs their barbeque with soap and water every time they use it? This thing gets plenty hot to kill any bacteria, so I don't see it as a problem. There's a temperature guide in the booklet that came with it, and I follow that. Works well. The removable thermostat works consistently well also. I'd definitely buy it again.

Excellent electric skillet. Large capacity for for entertaining. It heats evenly and cooks well. So thankful for the healthier ceramic cooking surface. And super easy to clean. Highly recommend.

We purchased this as a temporary cooking solution when our range broke down. It is a good size and works very well. The nonstick surface is great and It’s very easy to clean. Did the job for cooking simple meals while we waited for our new range to be delivered.

Bought this as a replacement for the last Presto we had. Can't beat the non-stick coating, easy cleanup. We wear them out because we use it so much. provides a lot of great meals and we also take it camping. Worth every penny!

I was drawn to this product because I like the brand and because it seemed to be a nice, non-stick pan. I really like it. The heat seems to remain at the set temperature. It cleans easily, I usually just need to spray the pan with vinegar and wipe it with a clean cloth but when I do need to clean it, the pan can be fully emerged into water. I also like that the handles are open a a bit (not solid) to allow for cleaning. My only dislike is the weight of the lid. It is very heavy. It does fit well and doesn’t let a lot of steam out. But it is so heavy that I often get steam scald when I lift the lid.

I bought this skillet as a gift for my mother this most recent Christmas, and she was extremely excited when she opened it. It's so convenient that it's quickly become something everyone in the family uses. We never have problems with things sticking to it, and any residue comes off very easily with water and a sponge. We get a lot of use out of it for breakfast, with pancakes and bacon being very convenient on the wide space it provides. It's also very easy to use quickly, heating up and cooling down fast for speedy setup and clean up It's also perfect for portability. My family loves to go camping, and the skillet is a great tool to bring along, especially in wildfire prone California where lots of campsites don't allow bonfires anymore. Even without an outlet, it's able to run plenty of time off of a powerbank. It's easy to pack up and even use as a container of its own to bring food along. The portability is also helped by its handles, which don't get hot at all and allow us to easily move the skillet even when it's still hot. It's very convenient to serve meals in too. Stir fry, fajitas, and other dishes that pile up hold well inside the skillet and can even be kept warm during a meal by simply leaving it plugged in! It's compact nature lets us set it in the middle of the table with whatever other food we're serving without worrying about heat damage to the table because of the skillet's legs. There may be more expensive, higher grade skillets out there, but this one gives you wonderful bang for your buck, and completely serves the needs of the average person without breaking the bank. I could even see someone without access to a stove top for cooking buying this as their main cooktop. If you're looking for a skillet that won't break the bank but does everything well, this one right here is the best choice for you!

Love this skillet, I use it often, especially when I am entertaining large groups, frees up my oven. I bake and cook in it. Clean up easily.. Whats not to like.

Llego Nueva y en perfectas condiciones. No se pega nada de comida,su cocción es rápida,guarda el calor si que se escape el vapor de los alimentos al estar tapados. Nos encantó.

I would not recommend this electric skillet. It lost its nonstick within six months of owning it. Had it a couple months and its already lost it non stick properties. I also notice the controls are to small which brings your hand way to close to the fry pan which could result in a burn if you are not careful. Also the power chord is way too short. I Tried to contact Presto about these issues but they make it so complicated I eventually gave up. I would expect a better produce from Presto, im going to throw it out.

Nos encanto... Los q cocinamos la apreciaremos...el tamaño esta super bien, la calidad del sartén es muy buena, fuerte y gruesa, no es tan ligera pero se entiende por la calidad, calienta rápido, el color y el diseño la hacen ver lindisima aparte de todo. Me encantó.

El material es de muy buena calidad el tamaño es un poco más grande que las tradicionales la temperatura es excelente en términos generales muy bien, la recomiendo, saludos a todos
