So far so good!

I have used this product for months and have only changed the filter once. It absolutely keeps smells inside and does not attract bugs. Sometimes I go awhile without taking items out to the compost barrel and am shocked by how much the scraps have decayed with no evidence for my nose in my kitchen.

I am very happy with this little compost bin. It allows me to collect small amounts of things I want to compost and take then out to the compost pile once or twice a week. No smell and very easy to manage.

It’s sturdy and has no smell from food when it’s closed. Easy to clean.

It looks great on my counter

Chose it because it was seamless and stainless steel. It’s perfect. Simple, easy to clean, can’t leak, won’t rust. We had a previous problem with fruit flies getting into the house and being attracted to the counter-compost catch all. This fixed the problem 100%. Apparently fruit flies aren’t compatible with the filter system (which is what I hoped). They were gone in less then a week.This is super easy to clean. We’ve had it for a few months I think. No complaints. Only changed out a filter once so far. And that was because veggie waste got on it, not because any smells were coming through. Just very tidy, simple, and hassle free. Highly recommend.

Husband likes to bury the garbage so we’ve been using an open gallon jug system, which worked great when he can bury the garbage daily. He has a job now that doesn’t permit him always to do that, so we needed a new system. I am using this with the compost starter (Bokashi) and the filter, and it is very nice not to have it smell after a few days. With the starter it does have a little bit of a vinegar smell but it’s not the decaying garbage smell.There are a lot of services to clean so it’s not really that great on the inside for cleaning. Otherwise it’s a good choice.
