I was having a hard time getting our baby gate to stay in place with our dogs. It was constantly getting knocked down and causing damage to our walls.I purchased these as a last ditch effort to save the gate and they WORKED. The gate hasn't been knocked down since I added these to the setup.The only downside is that these are very large and I can only use them on one side of the gate due to lack of space. Regardless, they are working, which is what matters for me, but make sure you have a couple inches of clearance on each side of the foot of the gate for this product to fit.

Great for a gate! If you plan on using a child or pet gate, these will prevent damage to plaster walls.

ended up not needing them and returning them. They seem like a good product but cannot report on it since I didn't use it.

Not the best traction on painted wood. An 11 pound dog was able to remove a door secured with 4 of these.

1.the diameter of the inside circle is roughly 2 inches2.you don't need any screws to anchor to the wall, the friction itself will take care of that, you just need to push it hard enough by setting up your gate correctly---they all work the same way3.I recommend those--those are not cheap but I do recommend those, in the beginning I didn't understand the need for it, but after using it I feel they do help hold the gate tight--you don't need to use screws, so you can avoid damaging your wall and you have the flexibility to anchor your gate anywhere--for us we changed the position of the gate a couple of times--we believe if you install the gate for the first time you may run into the same case, so being flexible is good.

Seems like it protects the wall from the gate but the gate still slips. My son is able to pull and move the gate. Worthless. 2 stars because it does protect the wall

My gate came with these standard, but they were very small and cheap. I purchased these with my gate and glad I did. The extra footprint ensures no damage to my wooden jambs. They don't need to be glued or screwed in.

We used these with a metal baby tension mounted baby gate. Keeps the gate securely mounted against the wall while protecting the drywall from buckling. Plan to have a second set of hands to help hold the gate in place as you put these pieces in. Worked well and was easy to install!
