Below is my original review. The company reached out to me without me asking them and they sent me a new lighter well after my return date at no charge without having to return my old one. The new lighter does charge with the cord they provided and a power bank. Since I'm able to charge this one, and they still both work great, I've amended my star rating.Works great until it doesn't. I've had this for several months, and the battery shows that it's getting low, so I've tried to charge it several times, but it won't charge, so I guess I'm SOL when it dies since it's too late to return it?

The media could not be loaded. This lighter was a little tricky to use when I first got it, as it does not always light as quickly as a flame. It’s pretty long, like a stick of incense, but the build quality and recharge ability of this lighter is what sold it for me. It’s very sleek and is safe, since the power slider exposes the on-off switch. You can use this high quality arc lighter to light mostly candles but you might find other applications for it. If you’re lighting something with gas however I would recommend a version with a goose neck instead so the unit itself is not so close to another flame.

Personally, I use this to light candles in my room (probably like most other people that buy this) and it works just fine for that. The only annoyance in that aspect is as expected; you’ll need to get right up the to the wick in order for it to light. While this isn’t a big deal, it often messes up or breaks bits off the wick which potentially shortens the life of your candle. Luckily though, most of the candles I use have wide, wooden wicks so this isn’t as much of an issue for me as it may be with others.One issue that I have found though is the battery life. I often need to relight my candles because I blow them out probably more often than I need to, which is why I switched to an electric lighter in the first place. And although they specifically state the number of uses you’ll most likely get out of it before needing to recharge in the little instruction pamphlet they provide, I can’t help but be kind of disappointed by the 80 or so uses that I get out of it before it’s just about flat. Along with this, I’ve noticed that this lighter is quite audibly louder compared to some of the other electric lighters that I’d tried before this one, making a high-pitched crackling noise sometimes.Other than those two small problems though, it’s generally pretty good. It’s definitely not mind-blowing (I mean, it’s an electric lighter not a tesla coil) and feels relatively cheap but it isn’t tacky-feeling, it gets the job done, and it keeps your fingers from being burned.

I have purchased 2 of these both stopped working . I fully charged and cleaned flint . Love it when it works but disappointed that the last one I bought worked for 1 monthUPDATE: Seller could not have been more helpful , after sending suggestions for getting it to work again , they sent a replacement lighter not a refurbished produce a NEW product. This is a very reputable seller and I was happy to work with them

Great for candles and gas devices. I really like it. Worked fine for two years and now will not hold a charge at all. Seems there is a quality problem with the internal battery. I have devices with batteries lasting ten years or more. Other reviewers have reported similar issues and at even much shorter battery life.

This lighter is perfect for people with arthritis or other problems with their hands that cause it to be difficult to use a traditional candle lighter with safety features. I have arthritis in my hands and this is so easy to use but still has safety features. The weight, buttons and that it is rechargeable makes it a wonderful tool!
