I am not skin expert but for the way my skin feels after I use it and what I've read about this product I am going to say yes. I have been using this product as a mask every week since I got it and I am very happy with it. Now acne can be very complex and it might depend on the type of acne but I think that it does help clear blemishes.

How long will it stay fresh?

I've had the product for many months now. It's endured extreme heat (100+ F) and still carries a nice texture to it. I'm not sure what constitutes fresh but I am still pleased with the product.
