Q: Will these work for Phosguard?

They are very fine mesh to hold in the finest media particles. But water flows through them easily so I don't see a problem with them working with any media. So I'll say "Yes" they will work with Phosguard.

This is drawstring bags. It doesn't contain any metal. is completely safe for both fresh and saltwater aquariums.

Q: I have a cascade 1500 filter from penn and plax can I put 3 purigen bags in 3 of my trays amd what size bad should I use for a 55 gallon tank?

A basic purigen bag will treat up to 100 gallons for 6 months or so with proper regeneration. I use a 250ml bottle of purigen in one of the alegi media bags and have it in a wet/dry for a 90g tank. You won't need 3 for a 55. One will do fine.
