Dan & DMD: A Children's Book on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Paperback – September 1, 2016

This book was used to help my grandchildren understand their sibling's DMD. It was helpful for the entire family. Very well written and each to understand.

This book is an absolute must for any child living with DMD. I can say this confidently as a father of a 15 year old boy living with DMD. There is no other book or resource available to help children understand what a duchenne diagnosis means and how it relates to their life. Please get this book to them ASAP!

This book is great for kids. This helped my girls to understand what their brother has, but wasn't too scary for them. Great book!

Seriously an amazing read. We need more books like this for our children. I'm so happy I bought this!!

It's good and acknowledges that being sad is ok.Slightly spoils it with a "I find something to cheer me up..." as if it's not ok to be sad.I don't like the "cool doctor" and "I am so thankful to my parents" bits.Gratitude; is that a duty of the afflicted? I hope not.Am I being too picky? Maybe but maybe not.

This story was a great way for my student to find the words to get his friends in school to understand him better. It made him feel better to know others feel and go through the same things as him.
