Great little speaker!
UPDATE: Still going strong the end of 2024.I admit, I was very surprised at the quality of sound and the actual volume that came out of this little speaker. I read all the reviews about the sound not getting through the pillow, etc., etc., (I put mine under my pillow but inside my pillowcase) I haven’t had one bit of problem… except when it gets turned over or twisted around in my pillowcase at night, but no biggie - just reach in the pillowcase and turn it back over. My husband can’t hear it even though I have it turned up as loud as it will go (I think that’s as loud as it will go… I don’t turn the volume of my iPad up any). If I lift my head off the pillow, I can still hear it, but it’s very faint. The best sound comes from having your ear directly on your pillow. It’s small, doesn’t slip out of my pillowcase (I’m not a pillow flipper). The charge lasts all night long. The only complaint I have is the charge cord is way too short! But it doesn’t take it too long to charge after the first initial charge. I would definitely recommend this little speaker and when mine wears out, I will buy it again!

Good idea but needs tweaking
I got this because my audiologist suggested it for tinnitus, to play sounds that mask it and finally be able to sleep.Well, it’s a great idea, but it does NOT work through my memory foam pillow (which I’m not willing to switch because it’s perfection). I even tried the volume “hack” they give you in the directions but it’s still not loud enough, plus the quality is not necessarily the best (this I’m ok with, it’s good enough for my purposes). Also, the fact that you can’t remove the speakers to wash the fabric is almost unacceptable to me. If I’m going to have something so close to my face while I sleep, I need it to be clean, that’s why I started using a little fabric cover, but I can already see how it’s getting dirty after a month or so.I usually put it next to my head, on my pillow, when the tinnitus gets really loud at night, otherwise I just use my phone and put it on the nightstand.I’m keeping it because it serves a purpose but I wouldn’t recommend it for everyone. If they fixed those flaws I’d buy it again.

The best of these pillow speakers
I’ve been falling asleep while listening to a radio for 35-years. When the technology switched to iPhones, internet, & bluetooth, it has been a struggle to find a good option. I have bought and returned at least 8 pillow speakers for reasons like: too bulky, poor sound quality, difficult volume control, etc. This is the first one I like. The sound quality is very good, it is comfortable enough to sleep with under your pillow, or even with your head directly on it, and you can get the volume to whatever level works for you.I didn’t give it 5 stars because the volume control buttons control more than one function and it is not easy to adjust it. Overall though, this pillow speakers is great.

I love it!
I love to listen to podcasts as I fall asleep, so I researched under-pillow speakers and this one seemed to have the design that took care of all my concerns. I was most worried about the battery overheating under the pillow. Since it's so long, the battery and controls stick out from under the pillow while I can still hear it if my head is in the middle of my pillow. You can control the volume, change the track, pause/play, and set/cancel a 2 or 4 hour timer so it saves battery after you fall asleep. The only weird thing is the timer doesn't completely turn off the Drowsie, it's still connected to my phone's Bluetooth in the morning. This has made it difficult to use with my sleep tracking app that gives me an alarm during a provided wakeup window. The alarm sounded through the Drowsie, which was not loud enough to wake me. Thankfully I set a backup alarm in the Samsung app, and that alarm sounded through the Drowsie and the phone. It's a mild inconvenience compared to all the benefits the Drowsie delivers, though.I used to fall asleep with a single earbud in, but my ear would often ache the next morning. Or I would find the earbud rolling around in the bed the next morning. Using an earbud meant I couldn't find my most comfortable sleeping position because I had to pick one side, or sleep on my back. Now it doesn't matter, I love this thing!Edit: The Drowsie now fully disconnects from my phone when I use the timer on the Drowsie, so I can use my sleep app or any alarm without issue. It happened after the most recent Android update, so it appears it wasn't an issue with the Drowsie itself. It's September 2025, the Drowsie is still going strong. I love this thing!

Marginal choice. poor reliability.
this device works ok, but the speakers go out. i bought one a year or so ago and two of the three speakers went out. one speaker lasted a while so we just lived with it. Then i bought this one in March. it wasn't but a couple of months and one speaker went out. I bought the Asurian insurance plan and thought this would be a good idea. Well, after about an hour and a half on the phone with Amazon/Asurian/Amazon/Asurian, i finally got an claim submitted. Just know, this Drowsy works fine for a while, but one or two speakers will quit not long after you buy it. You can't contact the manufacturer since Amazon makes this practically impossible.

Love this under-pillow speaker!
I use the Drowsie Pillow Speaker with the HeadSpace app every night to fall asleep, and again during the night to go back to sleep (I also occasionally use it with Netflix or Hulu). At first I had trouble with the volume being too low, but I contacted Drowsie and they helped me trouble-shoot my iphone settings and now it works great! It stays right in place under my pillow without moving during the night (I don't feel it under there at all). If I move around I do have to move it to reposition it just under my head. My husband can not hear it at all and I like to set the volume low so that I only hear it if my head is on my pillow. I have it set for the power to stay on until I manually turn it off, which I do in the morning. I only charge it about every 3-4 nights (the charging cord is very short so I just use my kindle charging cord). I have traveled with it and wish it came with a hard case for protection. I can't recommend this enough! It is the perfect under pillow bluetooth speaker!

2nd unit not as good as the first
This purchase review: I have loved this speaker and left it during a trip so I immediately bought a new one. The new one is not nearly as good! First off the timer options are 2 hours or 4 hours, but it stops after 1 hour or 2 hours. So to get 2 hours I have to select the 4 hour option. Secondly, if I am listening to something and the speaker turns off, the sounds comes back to my phone and I hear it from the phone speaker. Not what I want to hear if I have gotten to sleep. The previous version did not do this and so I'm not happy with the change. I have to select things to listen to that are shorten then the timer selection. Third, the battery life is much shorter than the previous version. I use to charge it just once a week, but now I have to charge it every 3-4 days or else it turns off when I'm trying to use it to sleep.I'm saddened to post such a poor review of a product I loved so much that I had bought multiple for others as a gift. I will now look for a different speaker option. :(Initial purchase review: I always have to listen to something to go to sleep, and before this product I was putting my phone half under the pillow. Now I don't worry about overheating the phone or my partner having to hear what I am listening to. Follow the instructions to increase the volumn and don't expect it to be loud or travel through a thick pillow, but for my purple Harmony pillow it works great. I have bought this as gifts for several friends already.

The Best Speaker Out There
I have owned every possible type of pillow speaker over the last twenty years, some, mulitple times (Sangean I'm looking at you). Every one is either not up for the task of getting sound through a pillow or develops a short somewhere along the wire, usually in 12-18 months. The Drowsie has been a huge breakthrough for me! No wire, long battery life, and several, strong speakers with good audio that penetrates my pillow. You can also raise and lower teh volume and I think skip tracks right from the Drowsie itself, meaning that you don't have to haul your phone out in the dark every time you want to do this. I love my Drowsie and my husband just bought one for himself too. Even thought it's a little bit more of a cost you definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommend.

Completely changed how I get to sleep
I have ADHD and find rave/dance music helps me quieten my thoughts to sleep but strangely, my wife doesn't appreciate 120bpm baselines. This little speaker has saved my sanity and possibly my marriage.I think you're supposed to use it between the top of the pillow and pillow case, but I've always used it *through* the pillow.Pros:* Sounds quality is more than good enough.* Volume is great without being audible to your partner.* As well as always on, there's a 2h and 4h timer option* Battery is good for 5 days on a 2h timer* It's the only flexible set of speakers I've found. All others have hard boxes, while I'm barely aware of these, even when I sleep with my arm under my pillow.Cons:* They don't report their battery level. I keep forgetting to plug mine in, so I actually have two with one always on charge. The older one always reports 30% charge and the newer one doesn't report charge at all. If you can trust yourself to plug them in every three or four days, this isn't a problem.* Very occasionally they don't turn off after two hours, and drain their battery. Weirdly, I think this is when Spotify runs out of music before the timer runs out, so the speakers stay awake. It happens maybe once a month, so hardly a major issue. For me, the pros massively outweigh the cons. If one of them dies, I'll buy another in a heartbeat.

Just as described
I loved that it is as described. A little difficult when it needs to be charged, but with patience it is very doable.

It’s good but accessing charging cable and buttons is a nuisance.
At first I wasn’t too keen. But it is overall good. I do find if I put it under pillow it sounds muffled so I usually just lay it next to pillow. The things I don’t like are it’s difficult to access the correct buttons for changing volume, turning on etc and charging it is a pain, difficult to get the charging attachment out of the cover.

Excellent producty and customer service
This flat soft light pillow speaker is great to put on my pillow to fall asleep to white noise. Easy to charge and long life. When I had a problem with my speaker that wasn't charging properly, they replied promptly and agreed to replace it FOC. Highly recommended and will buy again. The treble stopped working for a while, then started working again. Strange.
