It took me 1 hour to heat up some spanish rice and 3 soft birria tacos. I believe it woulda been faster, but I had to turn off my car twice and I had my AC on and I know the outside temp affects heating timeADVICE/TIPS:Be careful when taking the lid off because the rubber gasket is not glued and will come out easilyBefore 1st use take out the food tray and remove the blue plastic at the bottom of the heating trayPut water at the bottom of the food tray, not the heating tray. Just enough to cover the bottom so the food doesn't stick to itThe little white rubber cap on the top?Press that down and make sure it's down the whole time you're heating your food. It helps with the heating time

The media could not be loaded.  Made chicken thighs and rice for two. It was done cooking around 1 pm. I packed it up and watched my kid play baseball in 44 degree weather. Came back to the car at 7 pm and plugged this baby in. It was perfect. I went in to grab a bite and my 13 year old said “Careful, it’s hot.” He was right. He also said this was a great purchase. I could have easily fit another thigh in here. We spend a TON of time at the baseball fields as I have two boys who play travel ball. Our long days at the field just got much healthier. Way less frito pie and nachos from the concession stand.

I liked it, however the handles came off on the second day of using it. Most handles broken when trying to tightened the closures...not durable at all.

This is great to have no more sandwiches for lunch I just have to plug it in before lunch to heat my lunch. Depending on what you put in it it can take an hour or more to heat up so there is a little planning involved. I also like the metal fork and spoon that comes with it

For the price it does exactly what it supposed to do my only problem is the quality it is plastic so for the money I would say shop around for something a little more durable in the price range but overall one of the best purchases I have ever made.. I ended up buying two.

I bought this for my husband who does hardscapes for a living. The plastic cover for the plug isn't very durable and didn't last long. The silverware compartment doesn't snap shut tightly and is always coming open. The lid compartment locks well and keeps even the sauce inside. Overall, it works like it's supposed to for heating his lunch.

Awesome gift idea for anyone who works outside of an office
