This Brod and Taylor Bread Proofer/Slow Cooker is the best & customer service is exemplary!!
Arrived on time. Set up was very easy. I noticed a very small chip on he heat pad, broken from the cover. I took pictures, contacted Brod and Taylor. They immediately sent me another cover, stating they believe in quality control. Customer service was exemplary!!! New cover arrived quickly. The control is on the base of he unit, which I love. Electronic controls, set to 80 degrees and immediately I feel the bottom warming up. I love everything about this!!! I set my dish inside to warm up while mixing my sourdough. Placed my sourdough in my Brod and Taylor bread proofer for each part of the process. Excellent!!!! So then I tried making 2 recipes!!! Found 2 dishes that fit nicely inside. It performed beautifully!!!! Quality of the unit is excellent!!! I tried one of those cloth ones and it didn’t work from the moment I plugged it in. This Brod & Taylor bread proffer cleans nicely, quality unit. It make making sourdough enjoyable!!! If I could give the Brod & Taylor bread proofer and their customer service 10 stars I would!!! I also have their Danish whisk & love that as well!!! This bread proofer is also a slow cooker, but I haven’t used that yet. The rack inside the proofer is quality!!!! Price wise, it’s a little more expensive but my bread rising quicker so I can finish faster….I am worth it and luckily my husband thinks so too (he loves sourdough bread!!!!).

High Quality and Convenient Proofer. Highly Recommend.
This is my second Brod & Taylor purchase and both have been top quality. This is a lightweight proofer that works perfectly right out of the box. It is big enough for multiple loaves of bread. It gets warm very fast and holds the temperature. But, the very best part is that is folds flat for storage. I love that. I don't have a big kitchen so very much appreciate this beautiful and collapsible proofer.

If you're hesitating, don't! This is a great product!
Oh, my goodness! How did I ever live without this proofer? I looked at this proofer for months before taking the leap and bought it. If you're doing the same, I urge you to just take the plunge and order it! I do a lot of baking, especially breads. I keep my sourdough starter in this proofer all the time, and it's so happy! And, of course, I use it for proofing my bread doughs. Dough temperature is as important to the process as any ingredient, I think, and I love that I can adjust the temperature to my needs, as well as the bread's needs. For example, I can bump the temperature up a degree or two, to speed up proofing, if I'm in a hurry, or drop the temperature if I want a slower fermentation for more complex flavor. My results are so much more consistent, with this proofer. I can adjust the temperature for each individual recipe, if I wish. This proofer may seem like an expensive luxury, but it sure has made a huge difference in my baking, and in my enjoyment of baking. It's surprisingly well designed and useful. I've never used it to make yogurt or as a slow cooker, and I probably never will. But it's worth every penny, just for my breads. I love that it folds so flat for storage, although I will probably never take it off my kitchen counter, because it's in use all the time!

Could Not Make Bread in Winter Without This Machine! A+
A lifesaver for colder winter homes! I would not be able to make sourdough bread in my home without this fantastic proofing box in the cooler months. I also use it for my sourdough starter. It works wonderfully. You do not have to use the water tray if you don’t want to. There’s many videos on YouTube on how to use this wonderful machine in the variations. I’m so glad I bought it! And the Customer Service is A+ if you have any questions along with a generous 3 year warranty!

Excellent proofer
I love that it folds for easy storage. Having two racks is great for multiple items like bagels. The adjustable temperature and small water pan make proofing so much easier! I would definitely recommend

Great machine, works perfect
Absolutely a great proofing machine! A couple minor things that would make it better IMO. Better storage of the power cord. Water tray is so shallow it's a pain to drain with out spilling. The lid has to be removed to put items in the machine or remove them. Would be nice to have it just hinge open and stay. Yeah i know it would take a new design just my thoughts while using it. Overall it works great! It is compact but the cord could esily get lost if your not careful.

Could be a game-changer for your sourdough baking
Usually I give 4 stars to a new product when I don't know how long it will hold up. This product is so good that I'm giving it 5 stars right away. Experienced bakers say that temperature shouldn't be an afterthought. I found that they're right — as some of them say, temperature is an actual _ingredient_ in bread-making. I had a lot of trouble with temperature in my kitchen and often ended up with under- or over-fermented dough. As every novice baker learns, failure is just part of the learning process but it can be disheartening. Finally I decided to take the temperature "variable" out of the equation once and for all. I don't regret it. Build quality — Seems good, although the box is lightweight by design, and you have to be careful about how you handle the folding mechanism inside. Portability — The box folds up to a nice compact size, making it easy to store. Thumbs up for this design. Front panel/controls — Couldn't be simpler. You probably won't need the instructions to get started. Accuracy — I assume it's accurate. I could measure the air temperature inside. But there's no point, because as they note in the instructions, the temperature setting on the control panel reflects not the air temperature, but the intended internal temperature of the dough or whatever is inside the box. The temperature maintenance is clearly _consistent_. If I set the box to 75° F. and leave dough to rise in it overnight, I'm confident I'll get the desired results in the morning every time. Since I began using this product, I have not had a seriously under- or over-proofed loaf. (Of course getting it right also involves some judgment calls.) Instructions — Clear and well-written. Considering how lousy so many products' documentation is, thumbs up to B&T for this. The supplied water tray is a nice touch. You don't need to keep the dough covered as long as there's moisture in the air coming from the tray, at least in the first few hours of bulk fermentation. If you're doing a long bulk ferment, it's probably good to cover the bowl after a few hours—eventually the water in the tray will evaporate. Nice job, B&T.
