Excellent for a dark room. Doesn't light the place up. Very easy to read as the numbers are big. Good quality.

This is no way a cheap alarm clock. But it does exactly what you need. Sometimes you have to pay more to get the item that actually works: Easy to adjust and read No blinking lights at night Silent operation Alarm that starts as a whisper Easy access flip switch on the top of the unit to either briefly illuminate the clock or to snooze At the back at the top of the unit a large slider that turns the alarm on and off Gives time, date and temp, alarm time and bell symbol to indicate the alarm is switched on. Brain excellence at its peak!

The good: It's a very well made clock. The alarm switch is satisfying. The backlight is very even and pleasant. The night time backlight is optional. It is very dim as it should be, maybe just slightly on the bright side but compared to most illuminated clocks it's actually not disturbing. It casts enough light to be able to see about 50cm around it but it's a very soft light. This night-time backlight turns off during the day - it has an ambient light sensor to decide so it responds to room lights too. The +/- controls for setting the clock and the alarm make small adjustments very convenient and easy. The terrible: it's basically invisible in room daylight. Just a dark grey screen. Looks great in direct sunlight, and if you touch the top to get the full brightness backlight, but very hard to read in normal diffuse room light. It's a big let down honestly but I can't bring myself to rate it less than 4 despite this, primarily because other bedside clocks I've tried are so much worse in other ways.

Compact but easy to read. Good to be able to switch off backlight at night to prevent light disturbance. Easy to use and battery powered so does not need a reset during a power cut.

Good clock but every time I want to change the alarm time in takes several attempts to actually be able to do so, the numbers dont change. You need to click and click and click until it starts changing. Very annoying, wouldn’t buy if this is a common bug

I like how it looks and it’s great when backlight is on but when it turns off (can’t keep it on continuously) it’s difficult to see the display when even a little bit of light is in the room.

Good quality and does the job

Great, nicely made and takes two AA batteries so battery life should be good. Display lights up with a touch of the top, so doesn't disturb at night

No me ha decepcionado en nada. Es una marca top de toda la vida, Braun. Fabrica muchas cosas y con mucha calidad. Diseño sobrio pero elegante. Lleva todo lo necesario, nada superfluo. Buena iluminación y fácil manejo. Estoy muy contento con mi compra. Ya lo tengo en mi mesilla de noche y el que tenía antes, un chino que estaba medio roto y se apagaba sólo, aunque me ha acompañado unos años. Pero nada que ver con el Braun. El día y la noche. Lo recomiendo a todo el mundo, vale cada euro. Un saludo.
