Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 + Arcade Game Series - Xbox One

I'm a Pac-a-holic, just to preface this review, I have owned three different Pac-Man arcade game machines in my life, currently down to two (Ms. Pac coctail and Baby Pac hybrid pinball/video game,) so I'd like to think my opinion counts for more here than when I review something like an air fryer. The game is downright fun. Adds a lot to the formula, kind of butchers the linear gameplay by adding a clock to the challenges, but it still pulls it off well. It's interesting that they let you bump into ghosts a couple times with no consequences other than pissing them off after about the third time and they chase you relentlessly. The soundtrack is like a house DJ in the background, but sounds good on a decent audio setup. Gameplay is fast and furious - I remember the difference with the speed-up chip on the original Pac/Ms Pac arcade games, and once you go fast as that, you just can't go back. This game does just that right out of the box. It's plenty fast, and there's so much stuff going on that it's easy to lose track of Pac if you're not paying attention. Really great game, and you can do no wrong by adding it to your collection.

5 stars, 10 stars. One of the best sellers I've encountered in quite some time. Fast shipping and item arrived exactly as described, disc jacket was even shipped in cardboard sleeve to prevent damage or cracks to the plastic casing. Highly recommended. Impeccable.

Video game of my youth. A little limited but worth buying.

As good as the large arcade game. I am having a riot with this game, taking me back to the 80s. The graphics are just about the same (they are colorful) and the game action as well. Working your way through the required tutorial is labor, but worth it to play the game. Numerous skill levels and mazes to work through. I can highly recommend this game package. It brings back many memories and many hours of happy lay. It downloaded to my Xbox quickly and doesn't seem to require a lot of memory. Sorry I waited so long to buy it. Thanks Pac Man!

Just what was needed

I love this game bring back memory when I was younger; and I was playing it all the time at the acre game. Because you always have to concentrate and keep alert is a good game for your brain when you get older.I recommended for all ages.

Caveat: I haven't played the Pac Man Championship portion of this release. I bought this game solely for Galaga, my all time favorite Space Invaders clone, and got Pac Man and Dig Dug as a bonus. I like the way this collection of games allows you to access individual games directly without having to load up a big, bloated "collection" of games (like Atari Flashbacks and Midway collection). The people who own the rights to games of the past should consider releasing individual games at an affordable price and let the consumer pick and chose the ones they want -- I found Ms Pacman in the X-Box Store for $4 and love being able to play it without having to swap game disc(s) like I do with the various "collections".' Bottom Line: LOVE Galaga, always loved original Pacman and liked Dig Dug, so those three almost made it worth the price of the game. Put them in the store so I can get the games I want and do away with disc swapping!

it was a gift for my wife's birthday (43)...she was the Pac Man Champion of our town many years ago. Our son (12) loves video games and is really good at whatever game he plays...it was so fun to watch my wife beat him at it! It works perfectly and is so much fun...and retro to boot (like me:)
