This cuckoo clock was purchased as a gift. When we pulled it from the box to prep it before wrapping for a child’s birthday, we added the batteries and were astounded by the sound! It’s sounds like a noisy model train with a sick cuckoo in the midst. Not at all an authentic sound. Total disappointment! I DO NOT recommend at all. Not even for a child. It doesn’t even try to emulate a wood finish. Cheap junk!

I would recommend it to you looking for a clock.

Product was great except for the hourly noise. It sounds horrible and echoes even worse. Should be called an animal death clock.

The clock is very cheaply made. It looks nothing like the picture. The coocoo bird sounds like it is underwater and the volume control doesn't really do anything.
