Other than I miss judged the the size and thought it was for a smaller external hard drive which was my fault great product solid build it dose not feel cheap at all and best thing the protective foam is of the highest quality a good balance between softness and firmness a really good buy.

These keep my backup drives protected from dust & physical damage while they're on the shelf. Perfectly fits my WD 3.5" internal HDD drives. Stackable design with internal cushion. These are affordable & well made.

This 3.5 inch HD case is just as expected. There's a bit of interior padding, the shell seems durable. The closure, or "catch" is the devil to open, but that is perhaps by design. Use a small screwdriver to pop the case open, or expect broken fingernails! The hinge is molded plastic; the entire case shell, top, bottom hinge, and catch, is of a piece. The hinge is so thin as to be nearly transparent, leaving one to wonder about longevity. I used these cases (I bought a pair) to store backups of my work off-site, and since I swap out those backups only once per month, the hinge won't get a lot of use. I hope it holds up well. I wish the label applied to the case had not been applied. On both of my cases it is peeling away, but is NOT a removable adhesive. Attempting to remove it would leave a mess. I don't need the label, but others might. I'd have preferred it was included, but not applied to the case.

These are great for archival storing of 3.5" HDD. They are dust proof and made of hard plastic.

I have been using this case for about 5 years now. The design of the newer ones has not changed except for more available colors. The case is well made and functions great.

Arrived quickly and product fit my WD 4TB drive with no issues. Product feels of solid and sturdy material. Will buy more in the future as needed.

I don't see how this is significantly more protection that most regular soft cases. The hard drive is definitely not a snug fit as stated in the description, it's loose. You need to put it in an into static bag and fill up that 1/4in gap around the edges. And the foam, is super dense and thin. You probably have about 1/8in foam above and below the hdd, and then maybe 1/3 around the edges. But it's so dense I worry about if it will actually have any impact protection. My use case was to use it to transport hdds while traveling, but I think maybe your better option would be to buy some pick n pack antistatic foam, some antistatic bags, and wrap em that way. Other than that it's a nice looking case, and the snap closure is secure even with the antistatic bag on.

Ich hab mir das Case gekauft, weil ich bei meinem 2 stufigen Backup eine 2. Platte einmal im Monat mit einer vollsicherung bespiele und dann mit auf Arbeit nehme. Dafür ist es super geeignet. Es macht nen robusten Eindruckund die Platte sitzt straff und sicher im Gehäuse. Es geht recht schwer auf, wasd ich allerdings als Pluspunkt werte, weil somit auch ein versehentliches Öffnen im Rucksack verhindert wird. Auf dem Deckel kann man in einem Etikett den Inhalt vermerken, sicherlich praktisch wenn man mehrere dieser Teile rumliegen hat, ich benötige es nicht.

Nice solid build compared to other higher price range similar products. 4 stars just because clip that locks the case feels like it's gonna wear out quickly with often usage - but same time how often I change hard drives in server system anyways?
