Imma be honest...I just needed the case. I messed up the case/handle part of my old one, needed to replace it. This worked wonderfully. I got two, that way if I needed an spare or something, I'd have it. I'm not crazy about the metric side...since I just need feet, but! Whatever works.For those buying this for parts...really good for that! Come apart real easy, puts together real easy. Not super heavy duty but should work for most things people would use it for. Not sure about logging...but! Basic yard stuff should be fine.

Bought to measure property and lay out antenna options. Tape deploys and reels back in smoothly. Tip has fold out (aggressive) hook to keep it in place when measuring. Numbers are easy to read.

Works, good quality vinyl like tape. Easy to roll out/in, no slipping on the reel. Crank folds back flat. Pleased.
