Blue Active Era Ultra Lightweight Sleeping Bag Review
First off, I had less than a 1 week notice before my next deployment.I am a first responder and work in emergency medical services therefore regions (environments) I work in are frequently changing. In this case, I took up a volunteer position to serve in Puerto Rico, high humidity and temperatures exceeding upper 80s meant traveling LIGHT especially through the rural/mountainous areas. I didn't have a big budget, most costs were for my own account. (I was praying and hoping that when my sleeping bag DID arrive that it wasn't going to be junk. )My personal review is based on my experiences during one of my deployments.I purchased this sleeping bag on May 10, 2018.Pros:Lightweight and Compact - See photos.I received my item in less than 48hrs after placing my order.Excellent Customer service.Friendly follow up emails received, including tips on maintenance from the CEO, Joshua.I am 5ft6 and stocky like a bulldog. I was comfortable and didn't feel suffocated.A big selling point for me is that this is a small brand and business. The $ price was fair and the quality, size and weight of the sleeping bag met my expectations. If you look at my sleep system in the photos. (I had this sleeping bag, sleeping bag liner, microfiber towel and sleeping pad all together)On hot evenings I was able to switch between the liner and the Active Era sleeping bag.The sleeping bag provided enough "cushion" between my sleeping pad and the cot.The zipper was quiet enough not to disturb our snoring sleeping quarters. I was able to be stealth like ninja during the night ;)FYI Sleeping bag is water resistant NOT waterproof: My sleep system was encased inside a backpack that had a waterproof cover. - Nothing duct tape and contractors bags can't cure HA!I treated my gear including this sleeping bag with Permethrin as a deterrent for the bugs (flying and otherwise) two days before travel. The sleeping bag did not smell nor stain after the application had dried.Cons:None at this time.Last comment. I haven't washed the sleeping bag yet (I used a sleep liner) and aired it out on sweaty nights.Other:Other volunteers and first responders commented on my kit and were amazed for the SIZE and PRICE as to how affordable and practical these sleeping bags are.I recommend these sleeping bags for hot weather, WITH a sleep liner it can add additional warmth on colder nights. Great for hiking and trips that require miles and miles of walking with your kit. Cheap enough, that if it breaks, gets lost or even stolen that it isn't the end of the world! As a first responder I am always trying out new gear in the field. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't NO BS.Thanks Active Era, you made the grade and added to a comfortable rest after a long days out in the field :)

Advertisement differs from Mfg. Tag
Active Era Ultralight sleep bag is well made. However, there are two misleading statements in the ad,first the ad indicates 75 x 30 but by stretched the width it is 28" wide. Second, the ad indicates Machine washable, but the Manufacture's label reads: "HAND WASH with cool water, maximum Temp 30 C. DO NOT MACHINE WASH, DO NOT USE TUMBLE DRYER. HANG TO DRY. DO NOT IRON."Well, I did machine wash in warm and tumbled dry on perma press, since Hand Wash is not possible or desirable for a sleeping bag, and the bag now has a odor with body heat. No it's not my body odor. I speculate the fibers are very delicate and burnt with tumble dry heat.I'm 5'5 " 135lb and 28" is o.k. without zippering. It is a nice light comfortable sleeping bag. Would have been keeper, but I have no use for it now with the odor most likely from the Machine W/D.

Lite weight sleeping bag
I bought two of these for my husband. He zipped them together to make the bag wider as with his health problems he couldn’t roll over with just one as it was to narrow. The sleeping bag is warm enough for him, lite weight and very comfortable. My husband is very pleased with it.

SMALL! But nice...However......
I bought this sleeping bag to take with me on occasional chick trips. I opened it to air it out before this last trip although this step is unnecessary and I paid no attention to the sign of the sleeping bag. It's very small. I'm 5 '3, 135 lbs, and the sleeping bag, when zipped, is "snug." I'd have liked a little more space once I'm zipped. Otherwise, it's a nice little bag.I do recommend it - just be cognizant of its dimensions when purchasing.Addendum: The little carrying bag came apart on first use. Wish I had been able to return it.UPDATE - The sleeping bag, though it’s nice enough, is too small for me. The carrying pouch shredded at the seam the first time I used it. Returning to Amazon.

Comfortable. Light. Practical.
I bought 4 of these in anticipation of having a group of sleep-overs for Thanksgiving. The product description and the reviews were what initially prompted me to try these sleeping bags. SERENDIPITY! Good Things Happen When You Least Expect Them. This was a good purchase. The sleeping bag is LIGHT. The sleeping bag is very COMFORTABLE.(The temperature in Los Angeles at the time I used this sleeping bag was 53 degrees ... we tend NOT to sleep with the heater on) The sleeping bag is very PRACTICAL. What it DELIVERED was a good night's sleep ... I couldn't ask for more than that. The BONUS is that this sleeping bag is VERY AFFORDABLE.

Great value for lightweight use!
I bought this to accomodate over-flow guests at Christmas and it worked very well. It is long but not very wide. I am 5'9", 135 lbs and could probably fit into it comfortably but someone heavier would probably have a problem. It is clearly not designed for extremely cold temps or heavy-duty use, but it seems to be more than adequate for lightweight use. The zipper is sturdy it qppears to be very well-made. Just so you know, the instructions say "hand wash only, no machines washing or drying". For the price I think it is a great value.

AWFUL—super thin and not at all warm!
Do not waste your money on this terrible sleeping bag! My daughter needed an affordable compact sleeping bag to bring on her school camping trip. And since this sleeping bag didn't cost much, I definitely wasn't expecting it to be high-end. But this one was SO bad that it fell VERY short of my already-low expectations. It's EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY! The material feels awful. And the sleeping bag is basically as thin as a bedsheet. It certainly won't keep anyone warm—even on a relatively mild night. Overall, I'm really disappointed in what a bad sleeping bag this is! I'd give it zero stars if I could.

Great product.
I got this for my son but I also wanted to make sure it would fit an adult , which it was. It was big enough for my voer 6 foot tall father as well. He used it on a very hot night and didnt overheat at all. I havent used it jn the cold het but it seems like it will work well in chillier weather as well. It is very lightweight and soft.It rolls easily and fits in the again with ease.My son also has sensory issue and Ithis bag was great as it was very loud.
