So far, so Good...
This brilliant bit of kit is ideal for collecting photos from a camera during my travels and storing them safely until I get home and use my safe, secure and fast broadband link to my cloud storage. The ssd is pretty well shock-proof, especially compared with a spinning disk.Only time will tell how well it performs over the coming years.

I ordered this item at 23.00 and it was delivered 07.00 next day, that is amazing service.It measures 6.5x6.5 cms so fits into the palm of my hand.I’ll be using it for my collection of photos and video clips.

Size and performance outstanding
I am astonished how small the WD elements is. (2Tb SSD).The upload speed was 364 Mbps maximum and the download 440Mbps for a 2.94 Gb 1080 video file.The sys image was so much faster to upload in comparison with my other external drives.I must admit to having doubt about SSD storage devices but after owning an Acer Nitro laptop with SSD storage for two and a half years my confidence factor has nearly reached 100%.

Not a problem so far
Very small and very fast. I use this frequently and its transfer rate is very decent. can fit into my palm. It's unfortunate that the cable is a specific cable instead of a Type c but it works well.

Dissapointed with the casing:
I was quite surprised that the casing on this is a hard, what appears to be, a very brittle type of plastic. I understand that it is sold as being shock-proof from a 2m fall. As it has no great mass, I would have expected that shouldn't be an issue. Quoted from the Amazon item's page "drop resistance up to 2 metres ". But I think if the casing is cold and/or if it is "squashed" in a case or something sharp presses onto it, that the case may not hold up to much "in-transit" treatment. Not unless it is protected by something else. I'd hate to drop it from 2m onto our marble flooring is all I can say. If I hadn't needed it for an "emergency" job I would have most probably returned it.
