AJI Nagasaki Cake 330g(Milk Flavor)

So one of our daughters besties lives in San Francisco and she brought a version of these to our home last Christmas when she came to visit and spend the holidays. I grew up with a Japanese lady as my "second mom" when her and her husband moved into our neighborhood two doors down and our family's kind of adopted each other (have known her for over 50 yrs she is now 93). Anyway, having grown up with Asian food and desserts my whole life I much prefer the "sweets and desserts" bc they just hit that spot of needing a dessert without soooo much of the sugar that tends to make me a little nauseous. This particular cake is perfect for adding fruit on top bc it's a little like pound cake. I also make homemade whipped cream (think Cool Whip) and we love having it for a dessert after dinner. I don't understand the negative ratings bc the flavor is also good. No weird aftertastes or anything. Sometimes I just open one up and eat it by itself as a snack. So my opinion is if you are looking for a great way to have a slice of dessert these are wonderful tasting perfect size slices! Highly Recommend!😋

This was very tasty, nice and light. The texture was spot on. Just like I remember from Japan. Kasutera is great with fruit, or just enjoyed plain, and it was nice to treat myself.

I LOVE this castella, I've bought it several times. DELICIOUS! Soft, spongy and not overly sweet. I love it!

I am ordering these again. They were better than I expected, really good.
