The Original Gypsy Color Plug-in Conversion Kit White with 14 ft. cord, switch and plug

The kit is great, the wire is nice and the connector they provide is decent quality and marked well. Only the cover is not great. I didn’t like the fact that you can’t seal it up tight to the ceiling, it just isn’t deep enough, so I ended up using the original cover from the fixture I was converting. I just cut a notch on the edge in the back side of it with sheet metal shears to run the wire out to plug it in. Worked perfect!

I bought this to convert a different hardwired chandelier to a plug-in. It was super simple and made my project a breeze. I only wish the switch was optional. Thankfully, that part fell behind my bed so you don’t even see it. I only used the cord piece so I can’t speak on the other pieces that came with this kit. The simplicity and convenience of the cord itself made this kit worth it for me!

Awesome product! I actually used this to convert my Ikea chandelier into a plugin and it worked perfectly. I was hesitant to order since no one had reviewed this product while using it with other lights, but it worked! Gypsy does not guarantee that it will work with other products, which absolutely makes sense, and they are not liable if you mess up your lamps/lights, or your electrical wiring. But from someone with no electrical experience, this literally was the easiest setup!

The directions for how to install/use were not very good so it took me literally about four hours to figure out and I ended up having to cut and shorten the wires because I could not figure out a way to connect the kit to the ceiling hook using your 'cap'. Very confusing/misleading diagrams on instruction sheet and very few words. I am patient and somewhat experienced so I figured out an alternative but the average user probably would not be so would not recommend this to others. In the end it looks great though.

I dislike that it’s not as described. Otherwise looks functional.

Wonderful! Converts a hard wired fixture to plug in with ease.

It does the job but I had to use screws in the end to attach it to the ceiling. I also painted it black to match the fixture.
