I will say, the meat is fatty but there is plenty of actual meat so you would feel gypped. I wish the shelf life was longer (mine takes me out a little under a year), but in a pinch it’s a good product to have on hand. The only thing I’ve made so far was hashed browns. Get all your other ingredients cooked up like you want it and add the corned beef at the end. It was very good. What would do differently is not use as much olive oil in the pan to sauté the other ingredients, and take some of the fat from the can and use it instead of the olive oil. It’s versatile, and handy have on hand, especially if, say, you live in a colder climate and like hash browns, sandwiches etc or just don’t feel like the hassle of making corned beef.
