I needed something closer to the wall to hang shear. I screwed it in with the adhesive. I wish they came in a brushed nickel color. the white is ugly but cover by curtain,

Was very surprised. We used only the adhesive. Was used for a really heavy curtain in a door way in the winter and it stayed up even after going in and out of it all winter
