To tilt 400 watt you will need 4 L brackets to have a certain degree. You can install 2 on the roof and 2 opposite attached to the bottom one.

Q: Is this bracket and lag bolts acceptable for installation on metal roof?

Yes, you can use the L-bracket on the metal roof however you will need to replace the 3" screw to a self tapper.

Q: What is the slit width so i know whether my existing rail's bolt can pass through?

The slit width 3/8 inches and the slit height 1'' 3/4
