I bought this to replace an older arm that had the threads sheared off the end causing a leak in the wall. I cleaned the threads with a 1/2 inch NPT pipe tap and then inserted the new arm. I needed a lot of Teflon tape to create a seal but that could have been due to damage in the threads or the pipe tap deepening the threads. Happy ending as the leak is stopped.

I think that this part is overpriced, but it is a quality item and has a beautiful finish.

Great quality and material. Matches the shower head I bought and made for a great looking installation.
