CliffsNotes AP Environmental Science

Needs Expansion
This is a good, basic review book for the course but it lacks extended review in that there are no practice free response questions at the end of the chapters, only in the practice tests, so the user/instructor must supplement these.

BEST review book
I happen to know the author, and I've brought my students to his AP Readiness Saturday sessions at UCLA many times. He is extremely knowledgeable about both the subject matter and about the testing process. His book is an absolutely excellent resource. Now if my students would only study, then we could get some passes.

Study before tests in class with this
I bought Cliff Notes and Princeton Review. The Princeton book is half practice tests, which might be helpful in May before taking the AP exam, but this book has been more helpful for tests in class because it has more content. It also includes common case studies.

The Best Out There
Having tried Barron's, Princeton, and 5 Steps to a 5 book for the AP Environmental Science Course, this is by far the best book out there. Barron's and 5 Steps go into too much depth and useless knowledge. Princeton Review on the other hand lacks many essential details for the test. This book finds the perfect balance for preparing for the test. Furthermore, the practice tests in the book are plentiful and accurate. If you want a five on the AP test, use this book!
