I used to do Body For Life by Bill Phillips and got back on it. It calls for Myoplex Shakes, but those are no more. MetRX is the closest to a full nutrition shake that Myoplex was.This ready to drink can is even better. It contains 51grams of protein, so I use it for a post recovery. It has vital nutrients and vitamins, and fiber that is filling for a meal replacement.I really wish y'all would stop with the reviews about "liquid metal" and all this other crap as I can't afford to have another Myoplex type drink go the way of the wind and this Ready To Drink Can is the best. It holds the flavor (no! It does NOT taste like metal) and comes out nice and cold if you like it that way. I personally drink mine at room temp. and it tastes great, but in the end the taste isn't all that matters here. It's what is on the inside and the formula here is second to none.

This shake tastes surprisingly good considering it has 51g of protein and only 3g of carbs! I'm not a carb-counting fanatic, nor am I a workout addict, but I am trying to get in better shape and eat better, and this is a great way to start my day when I don't have the time for breakfast. It doesn't have the strong, dry mouth aftertaste of some shakes, but there is a LITTLE of that to be honest. Otherwise, it actually tastes like a chocolate milkshake!The way I use this typically (when I have time) is to blend it with a few fruits, bananas, mangoes, some almond milk, and maybe some fresh spinach, and you have a healthy great way to kickstart your fat burning and digestion for a day! Even if you just drink it straight, though, (which I do often enough) it's great. I would highly recommend this!If you're considering the vanilla, though, while it still has the same nutritional value, the taste of the vanilla is nowhere near the taste of this one, so I'd recommend this one over that any day.

Tastes good and has a lot of protein, low calories, and low carbs - makes your dumps 3x larger though.

Love this product. I purchased on a monthly basis. I recently received a 12pk with a damaged leaked can. The box smelled spoiled. I had to clean the remaining 11 cans and when I opened to drink, they taste spoiled. I will no longer purchase from this seller!

I'm giving it a 3 star review because IF the product can get to your door without being dropped by the deliverer or during delivery, it actually tastes pretty good! I have ordered this 3 times, 5 cases total and 3 out of the 5 times had exploded cans and leaking inside the package. You can tell it has been dropped multiple times because some of the residue appears fresh and some of it definitely appears OLD and dried. Amazon - if you're going to offer products like this you HAVE to up your shipping game.

It does taste like a chocolate milkshake to a large degree but it also has that artificial sweetener acrid aftertaste. The real reasons it's 5 stars is that it packs 51 grams of protein in one shake that is 15oz. I hate all these 11oz. shakes. I need two 11oz. shakes to feel satisfied but one of these does the job which makes them a bit more economical. Lastly it's in a can a not some crappy tetra pack. MET-Rx is a brand that has earned at least a bit of trust. This is something I could see Arnold drinking.

I am in my 60's and started new workouts with a trainer this past year. I tried other protein drinks which either didn't have the proteins and vitamins these have or could not tolerate the taste. I drink one within a half hour of working out and have been really happy with the energy and surprised at the muscle gain for my age. I have only tried the frosty chocolate so I can only attest to that flavor but I put these in the freezer for about 10 minutes to get them really cold and they taste much better than all the others I have tried. I have now re-ordered multiple times and 51 has become my go to protein drink. If you are busy and have to skip a meal, they are a quick substitute to avoid a hunger crash.

I received these on January 27, 2020 with the expiration of 10/2020.Today I was sitting in a public lobby with 2 coworkers, I opened 1 took a drink and immediately started gaging it was toxic and rancid.I spit it out, and turned to my coworkers who immediately grabbed their mouths and faces.The smell was as overpowering as mustard gas which I have been through. I ran outside and threw it into a outside garbage can and ran to a bathroom to wash my mouth out.I was gagging the whole time and the rancid toxic smell was stuck on my lips and mouth.I started to wash my mouth out with the hand soap when I came out of the bathroom there were approximately 8 people gaging from the smell and spraying a deodorizer even though I had only had the can open in the air for less than 15 seconds.I immediately contacted Amazon who said there was nothing they can do about it, but my intentions were to warn them about this incident.I pretty much got a thanks and goodbye, but I did tell them I was contacting my local health department.I have been sick to my stomach for the last 10 hours and I am mortified of eating anything as of now and definitely will not be able to drink premix protein drinks for a while.I will be taking the rest of this case to DOH and want to WARN all to be careful of these.
