LightingThis has a bright and wide flood light, not a spot light. The light is great for construction, painting, carpentry, plumbing. Sometimes I don't realize how dark the areas I'm working on are until I shut it off. It has High, Low, Red and Red blinking that cycle through the same button. Sometimes the person I'm working near uses my same light because their headlight is washed out by this one. The button is placed in a way that it hasn't gotten accidentally turned on in my tool bag like most of my other headlights. The front tilts and clicks in place at different angles. The lamp is high enough and has a rubber edge so I don't get glare from the light on the top of my glasses.BatteriesThe rechargeable batteries it comes with are high quality. I think I can work 3-4 hours on the highest setting before it quits. The batteries charge slow (like overnight) if you leave them in the unit and just charge by plugging in the usb. I bought a backup pair of batteries and a charger which goes faster, but the backup batteries don't last as long as the original batteries that came in the lamp.ComfortIt's a little heavy compared to other headlight but that's a trade-off for having two 18650 batteries. It is balanced with the batteries being opposite the lamp. It could use a little more padding in the front because you have to tighten it to keep it from falling off when you have to look upside down and sideways a lot (like working on a car and some plumbing). I usually wear it over a backwards baseball cap.DurabilityThe clips are plastic but are holding up so far. Mine has fallen a few times from different height and I've banged it on things and so far it's fine.

These are noticeably brighter than my Petzl, but battery only last on high for 3-4 hours.Bought these for caving, and they work very well for that, but you will need atleast 2 of these, extra batteries, plus a battery powered backup.For what they are, these are absolutely fantastic, and conpete even with the top caving brands for brightness. Lights up the caves very well.

Bought this headlamp on a whim when it was on sale.Wow! It is bright! Like, light up the deepest, darkest recesses of space with a super nova bright.So bright, in fact, that I started laughing as soon as I turned it on as I had no indication it was going to be so very crazy bright.Will I ever need a headlamp this bright? Does ANYONE need a headlamp this bright? I don't know.But if you're into insanely bright headlamps, I can't imagine you're going to be disappointed with this blindingly luminous beast. So just buy it.My rating: Five (exploding) stars!

It you need to light up a 30 foot area really brightly for hours at a time, this is a good choice. It's the floodiest flood light I own. All flood no throw.It's definitely not 2000 lumens, and you aren't going to have 10 hours of usable light, but it's really not a bad light. I have two of them. I turned one on and left it for 4 hours. When I came back it was still running, but only as bright as the "low" setting on the other one with fresh batteries.The red light works well, but is actually a bit too bright for trying to preserve night vision.We use it for cave exploration, in addition to a handheld light. The headlight dies a good job lighting up the area you are walking but not much more than that.Can't comment on durability yet as we have only used them twice.

The charging port pulled out after a charging cycle. Therefore afterwards the light was useless. It was not used very much, I had only recharged it,maybe 3 times.

The gave me good service but it quit working

If I took a pic of the light in action, it would just blow out the rest of the image due to its brightness! It can't actually be 2000lm, however, it is more than bright enough for most types of work where a headlamp is advantageous. Very nice product. WILL buy again to have several each in a different part of the house, one for each car, etc...Thanks for a great product!
