Amazing figures :-)
I admit, I had no idea who these two characters were before I bought this kit. I just liked the figures as they're shown painted on the box, so decided to buy them for my collection. The sprues are so well cast there's little to do but snip the parts off and clean the tiny bits of excess sprue from them, glue them together, and then pick a base from the four in the box to set them on, and they're ready to prime and paint from there. The detail on these figures is amazing, and all at a nice scale too. Their costumes/uniforms are different to each other, as are their poses, so there's plenty of painting shadows/highlights for people like me (Figure painters who just collect these minis for their collections) to have a go at :-) I painted Sin first, in the red/blue-black scheme shown on the box art, and have started painting Viper the way she looks on the artwork, too. I chose to paint the bases slightly lighter than the ones I did for my Moon Knight and Blade figures, to show they were out in daylight, with a nice experiment in using washes to show stains and shadows thrown in for good measure. There's all the extras for using the characters in the game in the box along with the figures, and a nice biography on the box to read, so I finally got to know who these two dynamic women are in the Marvel Universe and the Crisis Protocol game, which is a nice bonus for me :-) Looking at how beautiful these figures are, even just unpainted has left me wanting more, so I'll be buying some of the other figures in the range as they catch my eye (The X-Men and Brotherhood of Evil Mutants are top of my list). I'll definitely be buying the Squirrel Girl set, as she is one of my all-time favourite characters, and so a must-have for my collection. Atomic Mass Games have become one of my favourite game manufacturers now, just because of the Marvel figures they've been made to date, and believe me, these figures are well worth the price, too, as they are highly detailed, beautifully posed, and a joy to paint.
