The best moisturizer for oily skin!
I’ve been using this moisturizer for a couple months now and I have nothing but good things to say. For reference I have an oily t zone and most moisturizers feel heavy and greasy, this moisturizer has a very refreshing almost gel like feeling that sits very well on my skin throughout the day. I use sunscreen everyday after moisturizing and this product has never caused a heavy greasy feel; Other moisturizers like the Clinique dramatically moisturizing moisturizer feels heavy underneath the sunscreen. There is no scent which is always a must for acne prone skin. Overall a great moisturizer if you have oily, acne prone skin.

Feeling fabulous at 50!
Great product that drenches the skin in perfect moisture. Awesome for dry skin. Doesn’t feel greasy or sticky. A little goes a long way. Excellent for super sensitive skin. Feels clean and refreshing on the skin. Skin appears hydrated and healthy with every use! Love it.

Fav skin product
I love this product. I used to get it from Ulta but the convenience of Amazon delivery is way better. This product leaves your skin so soft and smooth. It’s my favorite part of my skin routine. The scent is light to nonexistent and leaves my skin super hydrated!

My favorite moisturizer!
I have been using this product for years. So light yet moisturizing. Sometimes I mix a dab of the product with my foundation. Makes for a silky smooth finish on my skin.

The Only Moisturizer That Consistently Outsmarts the Rest of My Routine
Clinique Moisture Surge 100H is one of those products I used once, shrugged, used again, and then suddenly realized I had burned through half the jar without even thinking. That’s how good it is — it just slides into your routine, takes over the hydration department, and outperforms every “real” moisturizer on your shelf. If I’m being honest, I don’t think of this as a basic moisturizer. This is a hydra-gel treatment, a barrier support cushion, and a moisture vault all in one — and there’s a reason it has a cult following stretching back decades. Let’s start at the beginning. ⸻ The Texture That Makes No Sense In the Best Way The second you dip your finger into this jar, you understand why people get weirdly loyal about it. It’s not a cream. It’s not a gel. It’s not even a water cream. It’s that rare “memory gel” texture that somehow manages to be: • bouncy • cushiony • jelly-like • and instantly melting It spreads like chilled yogurt, sits like a gel mask for two seconds, and then — gone. Absorbed. Locked in. Perfectly smooth finish. Zero oiliness. Zero greasiness. Zero heaviness. Just a clean, cool, plump layer that feels like you just hydrated from the inside. THIS is the stuff people think they’re getting when they buy “gel moisturizers.” Most brands haven’t cracked this formula category. Clinique has. ⸻ The Performance (a.k.a. Why This Beats 99% of Moisturizers on the Market) Here’s the thing about Moisture Surge 100H: It doesn’t moisturize the surface. It moisturizes the network — the deeper water channels in your skin that decide whether you look: • plump or flat • dewy or dull • smooth or tight • youthful or dehydrated When I use this, my face literally changes behavior. Foundation sits better. Sunscreen glides. Fine lines flatten. Tightness disappears. Skin looks alive, not “moisturized” in the greasy, slippery sense. It feels like your skin drank a gallon of electrolyte water. ⸻ Why It Works (explained like a real person) The formula is deceptively simple, but it’s doing three heavy-lifting jobs at once: 1. Hyaluronic Acid (multi-weight) Pulls hydration from both the product AND the environment into your skin. 2. Aloe Bioferment This is the sleeper ingredient. Aloe that has been fermented = deeper penetration + smoother texture + anti-inflammatory benefits. This is what gives Moisture Surge that “cooling” feel even when your skin is irritated. 3. Vitamins C & E Not high enough to be a treatment serum, but perfect for daily antioxidant support. 4. Moisture-locking humectants These guys create the 100-hour hydration claim. It’s not marketing — you actually feel the hydration linger long after application. ⸻ How It Works on Real Skin (not brand-sanitized “normal skin”) Dry skin: Immediate relief. No tightness. No flaking. Dehydrated skin: This is where it shines. Skin goes from deflated → plump in minutes. Oily skin: Surprisingly good — hydrates without adding any shine. Combination skin: Balances everything. Dry areas drink it up, oily zones don’t rebel. Post-retinol or exfoliation: Insane soothing. If you overdid tret or AHAs, this stops the irritation spiral. Under makeup: Smooth, even base. No patchiness. No dry cling. ⸻ The Honest Downside (because no product is perfect) If you layer this with other gel-based products or silicone-heavy serums, it can pill. That is the ONE flaw. It’s not a formula issue — it’s a texture conflict. Here are the combos where it tends to pill: • hyaluronic serums that leave a film • vitamin C gels • cheap silicone primers • certain K-beauty gel essences with gelling agents You can avoid pilling by: • letting the previous layer fully dry • layering thinner → thicker • avoiding rubbing motions (pat instead) But yes — the pilling is real and annoying. That said, it’s not a dealbreaker because the hydration is unmatched. ⸻ What I Love (a lot) • It consistently fixes dehydration better than any cream or lotion. • Lightweight but extremely effective. • Never greasy. Never heavy. Never suffocating. • Works flawlessly under most sunscreens and makeup. • Universal skin type compatibility. • Perfect “reset” product when your skin is irritated or overworked. • Leaves skin bouncy and smooth hours later, not just at application. ⸻ What I Don’t Love • Pills if you mix it with the wrong textures. • The jar format forces you to dip in (not a hygiene disaster, but annoying). • Clinique keeps raising the price because they know it’s a best seller. ⸻ Who Should Buy This • Anyone with dehydration • Anyone who uses tret, acids, or strong actives • Combo/oily folks who want hydration without heaviness • Makeup wearers (this is the BEST pre-makeup moisturizer) • People who want their skin to feel bouncy, elastic, and smooth • People who want hydration that lasts beyond the surface ⸻ Final Verdict: The Gold Standard of Gel Moisturizers Clinique Moisture Surge 100H isn’t trendy. It isn’t “clean girl aesthetic.” It isn’t flashy. It’s reliable, high-performance, and embarrassingly better than 90% of moisturizers that cost twice as much. When people say, “I just want my skin to feel soft, hydrated, bouncy, and not greasy,” THIS is the product they’re describing — whether they know it or not. It’s one of the few moisturizers where you feel the difference immediately AND hours later. It’s a staple for a reason. And if your skin is ever dehydrated, irritated, flaky, dull, or tight? This puts everything back in order. Pilling aside, this is as close to a universally perfect moisturizer as you’re going to get.

Good hydrator - a bit pricey, but you’re buying the brand
This is a great hydrator to mix with bb cream or tinted moisturizer that might be a little thick and in need of making a little go a longer way, I use it for that or on its own when I just need something light for the day. It’s good on its own as well, dries quickly and isn’t sticky at all. I only wash my face at night (sensitive, fussy skin) and use a damp cloth in the morning to blot off any excess oil from the night. Throw this on if you don’t want to use a thick moisturizer in the morning. You don’t have to use a lot, it’s very velvety and goes on smooth. Like all Clinique products, it’s high quality, lasts a long time and is on the pricier side. If you’re familiar with Clinique this is a good addition; if you’re new to the brand this is a great starter.
