Aothpher 20 inch Wall Mounted Stainless steel Shower Arms for Fixed Shower Heads and Rainfall Shower Head

Bought this for use as an outdoor shower as we have a saltwater canal behind our house. Installed directly onto one of the concrete pillars. Chose this product due to the mounting type, the stand-off length of the extension pipe, the water supply connection (which utilizes a standard 1/2” NPT handheld shower hose), the 90-degree bend for the shower head and the clean overall look due to lack of a support bracket for the extension. Connected to an existing outdoor hose bib using the appropriate adapters, added a diverter valve and a handheld shower wand for further utility (e.g., maintaintenance).

I received the item and the 4 inch extension piece had no round hole drilled in it for water flow.I have contacted seller to replace the defective 4 inch extension piece.

The Copper Base or diverter came clogged or blocked, not once but two times, first order and replacement

The idea of this product is just what I needed; the water supply comes in from the hose connected to the "T", but not from inside the wall. The 3 screws/plastic anchors holding the mounting plate to the wall are not secure enough for drywall mounting, not sure about tile.The BIG problem is that there is such slop in the threads between the shower arm and the wall mount that you can't keep it from leaking. I tried 10 to 15 layers of teflon tape, plus pipe threat paste sealant, still dripped.The only way I could get it to stop was to strip the chrome finish from the threads and then solder the joint together.

I bought it for the rainshower head. NEVER install on drywall with long arm. It’s too heavy and not stable enough to hold! It ended up leaking and damage the wall. It ended up leaking and damaged the wall. I had to pay $400 to fix the whole mess after 2 months :(

Easy to install

There’s nothing wrong with the quality but the two piece construction is a mistake. It was a nightmare to fit and I found it impossible to align and even with using up the tape and trying a variety of washers I could not stop the seepage from the joints. I guess my shower head was just too heavy for it to bear efficiently. In the end I gave up on it and I would have returned it, but I damaged it in my vain efforts to fit it.

This is a good quality item with a nice chromed surface. I used it to adapt another shower fitting over a bath with low level ceiling thus allowing adequate clearance to the shower head.

This could have a ceiling support included to support the weight of the water, combined length and water held within starts to pull the screws out from the wall. I had to purchase an un related support to solve the issue as well as replace the screws and rawl plugs for more robust plasterboard fixings.
