I've only used the kit for a couple of days now but here's the short of it. It is a decent beginner kit. The brush isn't all that great as a few others have said. Mine showed up with one empty hole where bristles should have been and bristles falling out. That said the firmness is good and I like the contoured shape. The comb is good not as good as many of the reviews have said in my opinion but still good works fine especially on my mustache. The teeth of the comb do seem to bend easily though which for only two days use and being made of wood seems odd. The entire set also smelled very strongly of citronella. I'm not sure if this is used to help protect the natural materials in storage or if this is just a fluke maybe the product is manufactured in a facility that also makes tiki torches or something. All in all as I said ok kit for beginners and it's an easy purchase. I've bought better brushes for less locally. If you're a beginner for the price go for it or if you just want a simple travel kit and don't want to lose any of your good stuff also a good purchase. If you're looking for a good brush and comb for daily use shop around some more.*Edit* The seller did reach out to me and express that some of my issues with the product are not what they would consider to be exemplary of their product. I can concede that the missing bristles are I'm sure from a manufacturing error and perhaps even the strange smell could be a fluke. They did offer me a replacement to show that what I received is not to their standards. I declined a replacement because I believe I was relatively fair in my review though I will add a star due to the fact that if someone else has a problem I do believe it would be rectified fairly quickly and that piece of mind is worth something when purchasing something you can't feel or really see in person until it arrives. As I said I do stick by my critical comments about what I received but should they offer other products in the future I wouldn't hesitate to at least try them knowing the seller does care about the satisfaction of their customer base.

Might have been a mistake on my part, as I already own much higher quality boar hair bristle brushes.Lets start with the brush. It is a bit smaller a lot lighter than I had expected. I do enjoy the tapered bristles. It feels like it helps smooth out my beard. The one issue I have with the brush is, after only two weeks the bristles are already starting to fall out. I have found several of them in my beard after a good brushing session and a few almost always come out when I clean the hair out of my brush.Now the comb. This is the real reason I bought this kit. The sandal wood smells amazing. The smell does fade a bit (two weeks of use). Even with regular cleaning with a rag (I use beard cream). The smell is still there and I will give the benefit of the doubt and say the degradation is due to my beard products. Even though I clean the comb regularly. The comb feels sturdy enough but I would not carry this around in pants pockets, a coat pocket is a maybe. Even thought is feels sturdy, my particular comb has waves in it. If i lay it flat and rub my fingers along the teeth you can feel inclines and declines. I know, what should I expect at the price point.All in all for the price, it is a great little kit for anyone thinking about trying to grow out their facial hair. If you are just starting out, this is a great kit as you will mostly be needing a brush are you first get your hair going. As it gets longer, you will see more use of the comb.

I'm a little surprised. I've never left an Amazon review before, but I will for this one. I own several store-bought beard brushes and combs, but they were all lacking. The brushes were so stiff as to cause irritation to the skin beneath the hair, and the combs were made of molded plastic; for those that know their combs, you know this causes imperfection in each tooth, causing it to grab and pull on whiskers. I never knew what a difference high-quality products could make, but the difference in the comfort and look of my beard is tremendous. I have thick, bristly whiskers, which cause a lot of irritation when tangled. The whiskers are also wild and tend to stray. The comb is saw-cut sandalwood, with a wide-tooth side and a fine-tooth side, and flows seamlessly and effortlessly through even the most tangled beard. The sandalwood aroma is also distinct and pleasant. The boar's bristle brush is wonderful. The contoured shape of the brush and the differing stiffness of each bristle creates a very balanced experience; enough resistance to get through your beard and tame unruly hairs, but soft enough for repeated brushing and no irritation. I'm sitting here for the first time in months with no itch or discomfort in my beard. No oil, no beard balm, no conditioner. Highly recommend.

I enjoy this product. The brush works really well with the beard balm that I use. The comb is sturdy, the fine tooth side works great in my beard. The box is a nice case, but the magnets have already fallen out of it after minimal usage.The only negatives that I have are that the brush is difficult to clean. It pulled a lot of scraggly hairs out of my beard and trying to clean them out results in some of the brush hairs coming out as well. The other is the magnets in the box, as i mentioned before.Also, if you have the misfortune of having sensitive skin, the coarseness of the brush on your skin after a hot shower, can leave some irritation. That isn't the brush's fault, so I don't count that as a negative, but be aware of that.

I liked the brush becuz it straightens my beard quite well, however I haven't really had much use for the comb, it's almost useless to me becuz when I use it I don't feel like it's doing anything so I don't use it. Otherwise they are great products, well made and feel durable and I'm sure the comb will be beneficial for others but not to me.

To early to say yet and never having had a beard come. Looks good and nicely presented.

I can only say that I love it this far. I'm curious how will it handle the test of time and usage.

My husband is very happy with this and uses it everyday on his beard.
