Comfort plus bareback pad - high wither - extra comfort. One of the best bareback riding pads available. Wonderful for pleasure riding. A must for every riding school. Nothing teaches balance as well as learning to ride bareback. Very useful for lessons on the lunge line as well. The dees at the pommel can be used for a hand hold as well as for a breastplate. This is the Cadillac of bareback pads. The seat is a deep quilted plush material over high density foam for comfort. The lower portions of the flaps are of a peachy suede like fabric. All of the above give fantastic comfort for horse and rider. There are two stainless steel dees at the front for a breast plate, hand hold or to snap on water bottles or carry bags. Two additional dees are at the cantle. Comes complete with adjustable non slip girth.

The best EVER!
I ride in this pad ALL the time! Both of the horses I typically use it on are super shark-finned, and this pad makes it SO much more comfortable! I’ve gone out on 25 minute hacks on them, and I’m only a tiny tiny bit chaffed! I will forever recommend this pad. This thing DOES NOT slip or slide at all (and I don’t even have to make it super tight), the suede/fur seat really locks you in, especially in some good breeches. Makes flat backed horses feel like a couch. Definitely invest in this, and not some cheap one!

Great fit for my high-withered thoroughbred!
I have a 16.2 thoroughbred and was looking for something that fit his high withers and protected him against my bony bottom. :) This pad did both! It has a nice layer of cushioning without being overly stiff, allowing it to conform nicely to his back. I’m even able to practice my bareback seated trot with this pad. The cinch is sturdy and fits his barrel with plenty of extra on both sides. Very happy with the purchase.

Great bareback pad!
Fits my pony well (he's 13.3hh) with room in the girth to go tighter for a smaller pony, and would also fit easily on a much larger horse. Doesn't slip at all w/t/c, but haven't jumped in it yet so I can't say anything about it's security for jumping. Super comfortable seat, easy to stay put without sliding around like I tend to do with a fleece pad. It has D-rings in case you want to attach a breast plate for extra security, but I don't feel like I need one. Girth is nice and a little stretchy, so it's easy to fit snugly. Quality is good, and product arrived the day before estimated delivery date.Definitely recommend!

Really comfortable and worth the $$
I bought this for my Rocky Mountain Horse so I can ride him bareback and work on my balance. It's so comfortable. My friend (in the pic) who's in her 60's was so comfortable riding in it that she wanted to canter! Because my horse is gaited and his back is slightly low it did scoot back a little. He has a lot of shoulder movement too. So I'm going to buy an English style breast collar for it so it won't slip back. It's very well made and it has D rings to attach a breast collar and saddle bag if you want to go on the trail with it. I eventually will use it on the trail when my balance is better.Very usable and conforms to my horses back unlike the $70 weaver bareback pad that was too thick and stiff and slippery. If you're looking for a good bareback pad spend your money on this one.

Lovely pad, but…
The cinch or girth really needs some “beefing up”… especially for a nice pad at this price! The buckle continually slides sideways on what looks to be seat belt-type material, and therefore does not provide secure attachment. It is also much too narrow and can pinch the horse’s girth area! Whoever designed this needs to take another look…😒. The other materials and design are of good quality, and quite comfortable.

Best one I’ve had so far.
Easy and beyond comfy

Very Comfortable
I have a three year old with a very sharp spine. She hasn’t filled out yet, and is very uncomfortable to ride bareback. This bareback pad makes bareback riding so much better! It’s comfortable, lightweight, and doesn’t slip.

My new best friend
The media could not be loaded. I love this pad! Bareback riding is wonderful but it can be pain in the tush some days. This pad is a perfect combination of cushion and stick. Padded enough that I wasn't feeling a spine on my rear but thin enough that I could feel every muscle. The suede like texture of the sides lends lots grip for you thighs. Very adjustable, fits our squishy Friesian stallion just fine with plenty of holes to spare for our Morgans, Hanoverians and Friesian Sporthorse crosses. Didn't feel any slipping or sliding to the sides in the turns. I definitely feel safer and more secure than purely bareback. The horses seem to enjoy time off from the saddle as well as not having their rider's bony behind digging into their backs. Easy to clean too, just wiped the underside down with a wet rag.

Awesome bareback pad!
I finally got a chance to try this bareback pad. It was comfortable and easy to use. I really like it has the girth buckle guard to protect the horse's sides. It stayed in place and was just padded enough. Thanks for a great product!

Better than most but...
I bought this because everyone raved about how well it fits high withered horses. No, it doesn't. I am now trying to sell it. It is well made and good quality, and fits better than most flat back pads, but it still does not accomodate high withers.

For beginners
This saddle is OK for beginning riders - my Granddaughters used it for quite a while, when they were learning.
