Solid timer box with flexible scheduling Review
Installed this for pool equipment scheduling and it’s been reliable. The enclosure feels sturdy, wiring terminals are accessible, and the 7-day programming with multiple ON/OFF events is very useful. Works well across the voltage range listed. Tip: take a photo of your wiring before removal and verify breaker is off—this is not a “plug-in” device.

So far so good
I purchased 2 units. One for a 240v water heater, one for a 120v hot water recirculation pump. Both for my home hot water system. Before ordering, I read a lot of the 1 star reviews. A lot of the reviews stated the install instructions and programming instructions were difficult to understand; display can not be read if not looking straight at it; the display screen dies after 8 months or so. Install It does need to be mounted in such a way that you are able to look at the display straight on. Either at standing height or kneeling height for ease of install and programming. If you have a basic understanding of electrical diagrams, these can be installed with ease. I do recommend making your own jumper wires of the same wire gauge you are using for install. This will allow equal clamping pressure when you tighten the clamp screws. Programming It did take me two tries to get it right only because I skipped a step. If you follow the instructions step by step, programming is a breeze. Display failing I guess I'll find out in 8 months if the display is going to fail. I'll update review if this happens.

A must-have if your electric utility uses TOU rates or peak demand charges!
My electric utility recently implemented demand charges on electricity consumed during specific hours of the day, 3PM-7PM during the months of Apr-Oct and 6AM-10AM during the months of Nov-Mar. Whichever 15 minute demand interval during those hours is highest, is assessed a monthly demand charge of $4.40/kW. An electric water heater pulls 4.5kW and with it running for a full 15 minute interval would result in a billing demand interval of 4.5kW, plus other loads in the home. Our electric utility begun showing metered peak demand a few months in advance of the new rate going into effect. Last month, a single shower taken during the morning peak demand time increased my monthly billing demand from 3kW to 5kW, which would have added about $10 to that month's bill under the new rate. This is where this timer can save you money on your electric bill. If you are on a time-of-use rate where energy rates are elevated during specific peak hours, this timer can also save you money. This timer works perfectly for my specific needs. Programming the timer is relatively straightforward once you become familiar with what the different functions do. It has many flexible programming options, but for my needs, I simply have it set to cut power to the water heater during the daily peak demand hours. Conventional tank storage water heaters act as a thermal battery - they will keep water hot for many hours without power. With this timer, I can use hot water during the peak demand hours while keeping the demand charge low. Installation is also for the most part, relatively easy. My water heater's supply circuit already had a junction box in the closet next to the heater. Since this timer unit incorporates a junction box, this unit went in place of the existing box. The box is watertight, and would work great outdoors with liquid tight conduit and fittings. My installation, was of course, indoors. If your home uses 10 gauge wiring on the water heater supply wires like mine does (to support 5500W heaters), it can be a bit of a challenge getting the wires in place. Only attempt to install this yourself if you have electrical knowledge, otherwise consult with an electrician to complete the installation. After switching off the circuit breaker to the water heater, it's important to not only check for AC voltage between L1 and L2, L1 and ground, and L2 and ground, but if your water heater uses an electronic control like mine, you'll also want to check for any DC voltage which won't register on the AC setting of a multimeter. My heater's electronic control has a capacitor on the primary input, which kept a charge of about 70V DC across L1 and L2... ask me how I found out. Now for the cons... This timer uses two jumper wires to send power to the timer unit's control circuit. It's set up this way so you can use it to control a single 240V, or multiple 120V or 277V circuits. The jumper wires use spade connections which require stacking in the screw/compression terminals between your supply/source conductors. I don't like this, as it increases the chances of creating a bad connection if you aren't careful, which could result in a burnt connector, or worse, a fire. It's super important to verify you have very good connections on the terminals in this unit. There is a different version of this unit that works with just 240V and does not use these jumpers. Only the supply wires go into the terminals, resulting in a more secure connection. The different version uses WiFi for remote setup/management.

Dewenwils pool pump timer
This product worked as advertised. It was very easy to program and offers a lot of options to start and stop the pump. The wiring instructions were a little confusing for someone with little electrical knowledge, but YouTube had a great pictorial that clarified everything and the necessary jumper wires were included in the kit. The only negative is the led screen is hard to read in poor light. Overall, very satisfied with this purchase

So far it is working pretty good.
So far it is working pretty good. It was very hard to set up the timer. Readability was difficult. It seems water proof however the door latch seem poor quality for long term use and constant opening and closing. I don't see it standing the test of time. Honestly If I could do it over again I would get one from a big box store.

Timer keeps time
Works as described. No problem so far. Timer keeps going when power is lost. No longer need to reset the current time. It claims that the battery would last a few months, but the longest power outage I had was less than 10 hours. So everything is working perfectly.

Great timer and functions well.
Using it to power on/off a 220v pump and salt generator for an inground pool. Have it set to run on off peak times and have had no issues. Happy and impressed. Saving a good amount of money in electricity alone. Simple to setup with great instructions. Can function on 220 or 110 connection. Well built.

Timer
the timer works as it should - setting on / off times can be a little challenging for older people the first time - the digital display could be a little larger or brighter - using it for a irrigation pump system

Gracias
