Solved my problem, works great
I have two of these daisy-chained together, one to switch inputs between my laptop and an Amazon Echo Dot, and a second one to toggle outputs between headphones and an external speaker system. Before that I had to constantly unplug and replug, and sometimes chose not to listen to music at all because I didn't want the aggravation.Another review mentions compromised sound quality, but I am not experiencing that, even running the signal through back-to-back devices. (Granted, my system is not high end audiophile.) When I first set things up, there was a horrible hum/drone sound that would have been completely unlistenable and unacceptable and I was ready to put them back in their boxes and send them home to Amazon. But in troubleshooting I realized I had not completely seated one of the connecting cables. Pushed that plug in until it clicked and all is well.

Exactly what I needed. Had to fix button getting stuck
This is exactly what I needed in my particular set up. I'm using a pair of in ear monitors that are very noise isolating to the point where I can't hear my own voice when I talk on video calls. I switch between a Fulla Schiit DAC and a Rode VideoMic NTG monitoring jack. Both are connected to the same computer over USB. I can get zero latency monitoring on the mic because it presents as an audio out device and mixes in monitoring through the 3.5mm jack. It's complicated. Anyways, this is what I needed and I'm glad to have it. No audio issues, additional signal noise, or ground loop buzz that I can hear.My main complaint is that the button would get stuck sometimes in the pressed position. I thought it was the switch or a weak spring, but after taking it apart I realized the red button was rubbing on the hole in the enclosure. I used a round file to enlarge the opening for the button a tiny bit and now it moves freely in and out. Removing 1 start for loose tolerances. I would have rated it lower if it wasn't easy to take apart, fix, and put back together.

Two Computers One Pair of Headphones = Simple Solution
I have no idea why I waited so long to search for a product like this. It's so much cleaner to have one set of headphones on my desktop, vs a pair for each computer (personal vs work machine). This is the easiest way for me to switch audio inputs between my two computers. There is no pop when switching between inputs. Some people have complained about audio buzz. My older personal PC is not as well grounded as my new work machine. It has always had a low level buzz or hard drive buzz that spills over into the system audio. This box does not prevent existing buzz. If there are any flaws or lack of grounding in your system, you will hear it. But again, my one well grounded system audio is clean, and the older machine audio is just as it always was, no better no worse.Great simple product.

Decent audio quality, solid materials, so-so construction
I've only just received this product so I can't speak to how it operates after extended use. However, so far the quality of the audio pass-through is decent. Through one of the jacks, anyway. The second split jack doesn't click right, seems like the internals have are loose or have too much gap? If the connector in that jack isn't set just right the audio cuts out and/or generates feedback/static (depending on the speaker type). If not for that issue I could give this 5 stars.

Not Useable with 2 PC's to a (powered) active speaker
My application: I have 2 PC's on my desk that I use with 1 set of powered active speakers. Currently I manually plug the powered active speakers into whichever PC I'm using. This switch device, if it worked, would have allowed me to attach the audio output of each of the 2 pc's to the inputs (outer jacks) of the switch, attaching the (powered) active speakers to the output (center jack), and being able to switch between the two with the push of a button.First the Pros: Product is well packaged for shipping. Product is very sturdy, enclosed in a very nice small aluminum case, and is the perfect size for my application. Switch button is sturdy, 3.5mm female connectors receive and release the male connectors with ease. This device works well with non-powered earbud headphones.Cons: Attaching the 2 PC's and the powered active speakers causes static on the powered active speakers. I suspect the switch shares a common ground between the 2 inputs and the output and does not completely isolate the 2 inputs from each other allowing for electrical interference between the powered active speakers and the 2 PC's audio.I'm not unhappy with the product, but it won't work as advertised for my application. It is being returned today.

Switch between 2 sources
I use my PC for TV and Music and I have a Kickass Stereo for Tunes and a Sound Bar for TV so I use this to switch between the 2. For some reason if I forget to turn off the sound bar #1 and I am on stereo #2 I get a small ac feedback hum but as soon as I turn off the sound bar #1 it goes away. All in All I am very satisfied with this small well constructed metal body device with rubber feet too.

Simple audio switch device for connecting two devices to the same speaker
This is a minimalist but attractive little device that lets you connect two audio devices (in my case, an HDTV and a record player with internal pre-amp) to a single audio output (in my case, a speaker bar). This is a mechanical switch, and does not require any power, as it just flips from one audio circuit to the other. This device will let you select one input or the other. It does not have any capability to mix both audio streams together into one output.Still, a very cheap alternative to an AV receiver or a second speaker.
