Part of Your World

Inspiring and Touching!
Words will never be able to express how much I absolutely loved this book! I picked up this novel after reading "Just for the Summer" this past month, and I cannot get either book out of my head. I have become so emotionally attached to these books and every single one of the characters. This series will forever have a home on my bookshelf."Just for the Summer" was the first book that I've ever read by Abby Jimenez. I've said it once and I will say it again: I fell absolutely head over heels in love with her writing. How can someone not love her writing style!? She's funny and quirky! Abby will absolutely shred your heart into a million pieces but then turn around and make your heart WHOLE again!I want it to be known that the books can be read as standalones and do NOT have to be read in order. However, I personally think that a reader would enjoy the novels even more if the books are read in order of publication date. Many of the characters from the first books in the series are friends. Abby basically took the characters we came to love throughout the book and allowed them to share their individual stories in other books within the series. If read in order, you won't miss out on any "Easter Eggs" scattered throughout the books. Regardless of me being a rebel and not reading the books in order, I really wish I would have known and followed direction, lol.Overall, "Part of Your World" was a beautiful read. I love the storyline with my entire heart! This book comes to life quickly as it is being told from two different perspectives. The flow and the overall plot of the storyline is something that every single reader can relate to in some form or fashion - simply unmatched. I absolutely loved both of the main characters, however, Daniel held a special place in my heart as a reader. Daniel's personality and work ethic just made my heart swoon. Daniel's personality reminded me so much of my husband which made me feel that much more emotionally invested in this book. So, tell me what happens when a small-town boy meets a doctor from the city and accidentally fall in love?5/5 Stars: Abby has made me a lifelong fan of her work, and a fan of RomComs. The romance in this novel is just as much as sweet as it is spicy. Abby's books are like a vacation from reality, and leave my heart so full. I will be recommending this book to fellow readers for years to come. Thank you, Abby! <3

Grace costs you nothing
This book was so good. It was the first I’d ready by this author but am definitely a fan now. Some of the one-liners from her best friend had me laugh out loud cackling. It was such a good story. I’m so glad I learned of their world.

YES YES YES
**spoiler alert** “Part of Your World” by Abby Jimenez is an absolute gem! I did not expect to love this book as much as I did, but it had me hooked from the start. The story of two polar opposite worlds colliding in the strangest, yet sweetest of ways is simply enchanting.Daniel had me swooning, blushing, and giggling like a schoolgirl. He made me fall in love with every page. And let’s talk about the FMC, Alexis—finally, an older FMC who brings so much depth and relatability to the story. Her character growth is phenomenal! There were moments I wanted to slap her around, but we got there… eventually.Chloe, the baby goat in PJs, stole my heart. She’s my favorite character, hands down. And Bri? She’s a real one, a ride-or-die friend. Does she have friendship applications? Because I volunteer as tribute, fr.The story is wholesome and sweet, it had me crying, laughing, and everything in between. Through excellent storytelling, Abby Jimenez was also able that to acknowledge the different forms of abuse someone can encounter. Not all abuse is physical, and this book handles that with such grace.Overall, this book is amazing. Abby Jimenez has crafted a tale that is both heartwarming and thought-provoking. Highly recommend!

I never wanted this to end!
Alexis is driving back to Minneapolis when she ends up in a ditch in the small town of Wakan trying to avoid hitting a raccoon. Just great! The tow truck company she called will be awhile but in the meantime one of the locals stops to help her out of her predicament. She decides to stop at the local bar for a quick bite to eat before she heads off home again.Daniel Grant was the guy who stopped to help her, he and his ancestors are a part of the fabric of this small town. He runs his family B&B and is a very talented carpenter. He is also the town Mayor, which is not as arduous as it sounds with a population of 350 people for most of the year.Alexis being in the local bar raises lots of interest for all the single guys. They’ve either grown up with, know of or have dated every woman in town so Alexis is fair game as far as they are concerned. Daniel swoops in and saves her from them all with his witty banter and general warmth.Alexis has recently gone through a break up. After lots of therapy she has come out much stronger and more aware of what she wants/deserves in a future partner. One thing she does now is that she is not interested in dating or relationships. This is how she ends up spending the night in Daniel’s bed. Let me put some context around this…‘Daniel somehow managed to be charming and completely down-to-earth while also exuding pure sex. It was the most baffling combination. And one I wasn’t capable of refusing.’Daniel truly is a genuinely lovely guy and Alexis probably can’t explain it herself but there is a connection there. A pull towards each other that even after a few hours of conversation over a grilled cheese sandwich they find themselves naked together. Alexis knows she will never return and she really needs a night like this. Daniel does not disappoint, he is attentive, intuitive and gives her a night she will never forget. After Alexis leaves, Daniel is left wondering if it was all just a beautiful dream. This gorgeous, intelligent and articulate woman - who he thinks is waaay out of his league has left her mark on him. He cannot stop thinking of her and he will do anything to spend more time with her. And then she calls him..Alexis’ path in life was carved out for her before she was born. Her family has generations of surgeons that have come before her but she defied the norm a little by becoming an ER doctor. Not a career deemed as anything of significance to her father. She constantly fails to meet the high expectations set by him and her recent break up with a surgeon he considered a son to him has not helped. Now she is the sole Montgomery doctor left at the hospital and he expects her to step up.As you can see, Alexis’ world and Daniel’s are so far removed from each other but despite all of this she finds herself driving to see him most weekends. They are developing feelings for each other, big, huge, deep feelings that can never be any more than that. His life is in Wakan, and hers in Minneapolis - both anchored by the generations that came before them.‘This relationship would never expand. It would never take a deep breath and pull in those around us. It wouldn’t fill its lungs with my people and my life. It would just be this. Only this.’Honestly, my heart was breaking for this couple. Alexis has one true best friend, Bri (you are going to love her) and other than that no one else is in her cheer team, apart from Daniel. He makes her feel seen, he believes in her, he cares so much for her and put simply, all he wants is Alexis. She is so torn up over what she feels for Daniel, she is being pulled in so many directions and is drowning in the weight of expectations thrown upon her.‘Nothing could convince me this woman wasn’t made for me to love. I think my soul recognized hers the second I laid eyes on her. Our bodies knew it the very first night. The power she had over me terrified me. But it also gave me clarity.’Okay, so with all of this heavy angst there are also equal amounts of fun, laughter and swoon :) There is Chloe the goat, Kevin Bacon the pig, Hunter the dog and all the wonderful townsfolk of Wakan. The banter between Alexis and Daniel was so adorable and I laughed so much. I really hope we get more stories from the wonderful secondary characters in this story.Well this was my reading highlight of the month, all those wonderful book feels that I love were here in abundance, I never wanted this to end!‘I love you’ he whispered. ‘We are together. This isn’t over. And even if you leave, it won’t be over because you’ll take the love with you and it’ll bring you back.’

Beautiful quick read!
Loved this beautiful story from the start. Easy to read and follow. Loved the connection between the two main characters and all the side characters. The residents of Wakan are just special. I recommend this book of you are looking for a nice, not too spicy, romance story.

It is a good history with a female vision.
t's a good story, there's a female take on a love relationship. There are parts that tend to be fanciful, but they don't compromise the whole.

Absolutely recommend this one
Love that Abby writes about an older FMC (38) and an much younger MMC (28). The story was healing for me and also funny and good. Btw, loved the dog and the baby goat 💕
